It's not hard to come up with a bogus name and get a PO Box to sign up for web hosting with.
The answer to *that* is to require voice verification and a valid state or federal ID to be faxed to the hosting company, but that's a bit... draconian

It might be illegal to teach non-official French in France, sure. But what about Canadian French? Or Creole French? l'Acadime Francais doesn't have any authority outside of France itself, iirc.

Yes, you can. You can make up any word you want, and use it in any context. The problem lies in other people knowing what this word means, and accepting it into common parlance. Language has evolved for just that reason.
er, NTFS write support has been available for a while now. Granted, it *can* cause problems, but I haven't had a single problem yet. I never use it for my system partitions though, just in case.

What would you suggest? People will write viruses for every platform. People just write more for Windows since it is the most prevalent environment.
Greater security in the operating system will help, but there will always be people who are willing to find ways to break the system, some maliciously, others not so much. There is no perfect solution.
You can get a paypal debit card, and use it to buy your merchandise from ITMS.
I have one of the debit cards, and I used it like a credit card all the time (it's where my personal allowance money from my bank account goes). It'll also use your checking account to pull funds from if you don't keep a balance in your paypal account.
What's the point? If you can only connect to people who's key you have, and if only people who have your key can connect to you, this is going to be a pretty private thing. If it was more "anonymous", I could see a reason behind it. As it stands, I'll be the only person in my circle of friends who'll "get this", and it'll just spend time wasting on my HD. To be completely honest, crypto on file sharing protocols won't be commonplace until AOL or Yahoo decides to put it in AIM/Pager.
You're either being too picky, or aren't looking in the right place.
I'm a help desk jockey and I can't beat the recruiters off my phone with a stick.
Granted, I'm not making what I made a year ago, much less two, but I *am* employed, and at a much higher wage than fast food would pay.
Yes, but a lot of legitimate customers might appreciate the fact that the hosting provider is doing their part to delete spam.
I'm not saying it's the ideal solution, or even a very plausible one, but it is a decent idea, and if more hosts do it, then spam might lessen.
Also, having such a draconian policy would lend itself well to having an AUP that would include lawsuits for spamming or spam-based businesses.

That should be "bullshit is bullshit especially when it's called marketing"

Er, is this the same Sevn that used to work at Mindspring/Earthlink? Haven't seen you in a while dude ;)
If Ogg hates fucking Edison, then maybe he should put that corpse back in the ground where it belongs.
Sorry.... had to be done.
Er, no. Blame the incompetent credit card companies who don't make it mandatory to validate expiration dates in a transaction.

Head out to one of the suburbs. The AMC in Kennesaw is good, relatively new, not so crowded except on Friday/Saturday nights, clean, etc.
Hope is on the Verizon!

Molson XXX is like freaking moonshine, compared to bud. It's like 12% alcohol by volume or something like that.

You have to use ClearType to get decent antialiasing in WinXP.
Player Auctions is your answer.
That's not just the Dark Side, that's an Evil Empire.
That's pretty much the same as a Remote DSLAM or a MiniRAM.
