Will Telco's be rolling out more and more central offices or remote dslams? Not a lot of people live within 8000 feet. Just more broadband solutions that aren't going to be available everywhere.
Golomb rulers refer to a spacing technique that is used in a variety of areas such as astronomy (placement of antennas), xray sensing devices (placement of sensors), and myriad other fields such as data encryption.
A Golomb ruler is a set of integers (marks) a(1) <... < a(n) such that all
the differences a(i)-a(j) (i > j) are distinct. Clearly we may assume a(1)=0.
Then a(n) is the length of the Golomb ruler. For a given number of marks, n, we
are interested in finding the shortest Golomb rulers. Such rulers are called
optimal.

Sony has banned people from EverQuest for similar things. GM command hacking (allowing people to use commands normally reserved for "Guides" and Game Masters), spell hacks (giving certain spells better effects than they should have), etc.
There's already a server emulator out, it doesn't do everything that the current SOE/UbiSoft (Euro) servers do yet, but it's close. Easy to install/configure, etc.
Of course, no one I know has the bandwidth to host more than a six person group or so, but.. eh.
But who really cares how unrealistic the gadgets are? It's a movie for $DEITY's sake. I like watching movies with wierd little technogadgets, Bond & XXX had both, even if XXX was a major disappointment.
At least according to the 2nd review. Sure, they may have irritated some GNOME heads, but there are those of us that prefer KDE. And if I can run Windows apps seamlessly (I'll wait for more info on this) I'd gladly spend $99 for Xandros and replace WinXP.
The turbografx 16's games were on credit card sized rom cards, with a row of contacts on the end that plugged into the system. You might be thinking about the neo geo.
Tobacco companies have been held liable for those who die as a result of smoking, because they sell a "dangerous" product. Wouldn't surprise me if some government sues a gun manufacturer because their product was used in a crime. =P
Tux Racer is NOT Windows-only
Thursday, August 2, 2001
Despite what some (very misleading) news articles have recently reported, the retail version of Tux Racer will be released for both Linux and Windows (and most likely the Macintosh); the binaries for all versions will be in the same box. Don't believe the hype!
These news articles are referring to an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) deal which is in the works, which (although the details have not been finalized) is for Windows only. Getting a Linux version added onto the OEM CD is something that we have considered and will try to do. The only obstacle to this is the fact that our OEM agent only supports Windows products. We will keep you posted.
Further, to clarify: while we will not initially release the source code to version 1.0 under the GPL (this is simply not an option for us in the commercial game market), we do intend to do so some time after the initial release.
Only in the CMYK (Additive color) model, is black the saturation of all colors.
In the RGB color scheme (subtractive color), white is the saturation of all colors.
Giving someone a fake name and address and paying via a money order (presumably signed under the fake name) is called fraud, and using post office money orders makes it a federal offense.
Then how come the driver listed at the Nvidia Driver Page is version 6.50?
Anything higher than 6.50 is a "leaked" driver, usually released by an Nvidia employee to certain news sites, not a "released" driver, available from Nvidia.

Not sure why people would want to, I just answered the man's question. =p

One of the funniest sites I've ever been to. Must begin project to "mirror" this site on my bookshelf.

If it's real, at least. If it's fake, it's a very well done fake. I doubt we'll see a confession from MS that this was real.

Hello, Sneakers. That's basically what Sneakers was about, but it was from the "White Hat" side, so to speak.
Older Women make better lovers anyway.
After all, cutting things in pieces with maginifying glasses is an age old rite of passage.
the 25 mile high club of course! ;)
Well, depending on your perspective, "fat pipes going down the tubes" could be bad as well. :P

EQMaps.com and EQPrices.com are the only two I can think of off the top of my head, but they both partnered with FlashLink.

The first two? I always thought there were three movies before TPM :)

The fiber line goes to the miniram, and copper goes from the miniram to your house. It's basically a small DSLAM wired directly to the ATM network.
Rather simplified, but tell them about minirams and see what they say.
