yeah I think your right about HOMM . I remember doing hot seat on HOMM3, maybe it's the "it's your turn" that makes it like a board game that does it. probably any game where you actually have to talk to the other player. I hear "we love katamari" (ps2) is like that, check out the gamespot review.
I have bought every blizzard game since warcraft 2 , so that would go a long way. battlefield 3 is pretty much the best FPS at the moment so you need that too.
it goes against the capitalist ideals but maybe if only one company had trucks driving around to all of our houses it would be more efficient . and possibly a little cheaper.

OSX runs on many PCs now, you might look into that. it would be a bit more user friendly then Linux. If you can get it to work that is.

or leave the layers in and just lower the resolution .
