WTF is your problem? XP does less with the same hardware compared to 2k.

These are 2Ghz + drafting stations w/ @ least 512MB RAM. The difference is very noticible.

I've used a handgun to stop the commission of a violent crime. A friend of mine has prevented a robbery with his legal concealed pistol. The police are no longer here to protect & serve, they are only around to detect & arrest after the fact. After the crime. There is no way the police can protect me or you or anyone else from all the scum out there. If you can't understand this then you aren't living in the same reality as the rest of us. Frankly my state government has taken some very proactive steps recently to make sure that the citizens of Florida are able to protect themselves if the need arises.

Don't forget the almost nil modifications or user made expansions. Much fun! I had my step-brothers Xbox & PS2 sitting in my room collecting dust for a year & a half. Never even turned them on except to watch him play Halo 2 when I got it for him for X-Mas. I'm just not interested in 90% of console games & the ones I am interested in usually have a PC port anyhow. I mean how could you play something like Galactic Civilizations, Alien Crossfire or Neverwinter Nights on a console? Of course the fact that all games look better on my PC compared to a console doesn't help either.
