We've got an HP 4MV at work, and I swear, after tens of thousands of (11"x17") prints over 9 years, we *still* can't kill the damn thing. The worst that's happened is it was down 3 days 5 years ago for a drum replacement. To contrast, my company also has a Lanier 36P that has dies basically every 30 days like clockwork. We've given up on using it for production anything & are sticking with HP from now on.
But not on the basis that 1/2 the printers they make are awful? Worst. Inkjet. Ever. Yes, yes, I know we're talking about lasers printers here, but their inkjets are total crap.
Or you could do what I do, get a couple of overpaid, underworked management types fired. You'd be surprised how much overhead that can clear up. Usually doesn't take much more than a quick trip to their browser cache either.
1.) Never heard of it. Google for "freeware financial software" or "freeware accounting software" & GNUCash is nowhere to be seen.
2.) It doesn't run on Windows, which face it, is still what most of the world runs for an OS.
No stupid "port it yourself" comments. I don't ask you people to design your own communicaions fiber rings, so you shouldn't expect me to program my own software.
The Larsen A ice shelf suddenly collapsed in 1995. The Wilkins Ice Shelf is shrinking. In 2002, the 3400-square kilometer Larsen B shelf -- at least 12,000 years old and up to 70 stories thick -- disintegrated into the Weddell Sea in the space of a few months (satellites images of the collapse are available at http://nsidc.org/iceshelves/larsenb2002/animation. html). . .. The calving of monster icebergs is now common. Ted Scambos, an expert from the University of Colorado's National Snow and Ice Centre, found that after Larsen B's collapse, nearby glaciers began entering the sea up to eight times faster than previously. - www.worldpress.org -
Speak for yourself, I was learing LOGO in 1st grade at a public school & I'm 5 years older than you. I had a nice PC in high school that I shared for 2 years with a single other student who was also in the ABA. At a rural public high school.
Well my rant was about a 9 yr old HP. That still works great. Different company back then though.

So much for my pro-HP rant yesterday....
Jaysyn
Now that's a lucky bastard....

That's because it uses the same engine as NWN.

Damn the bad luck....

Well if Terra was that massive & could still support life, said life would have evolved to compensate for the extreme gravity.

BTW all this was taken from everything2, I'm just too drunk to find it again.

The highest point in Florida is Britton Hill, Lakewood Park in Walton County and is only 345 feet above sea level. (from NetState Almanac)
