Crash Protection? A guy rear-ended my mom's Durango at 60 mph in a pickup while she was at a dead stop. She drove the Durango home with a busted rear windshield, the 4x4 S-10 that hit her left on a wrecker with the engine beside it. If she was in her old Lumina she would have been pushed up in front of the semi in front of her & would probably be dead. And you'd be hard pressed to get that SUV stuck, believe me I've tried. Whether you'd like to admit it or not some people do have a use for an SUV, and I'm not talking about soccer moms that carry herds of children around. Another thing, why do people rail on SUVs so badly, a 2 wheel-drive v6 SUV gets about the same gas milage as a minivan, but I don't see anyone complaining about them.
See, now I know you're lying. This is Microsoft, being children of the black goat of the woods with 1000 young, they would want their master to return to earth.
T.V., radio & movies are passive entertainment, video games are not. Eventually, I imagine the two will mix & we'll get something similar to Stephensons ractives in SnowCrash.
The thing I'm wondering is, if Microsoft had stuck to doing one or two things that it did well (OS & Productivity Software),improving upon them, and not being such control freaks, would Linux be as popular as it is today?
I realize that Linux wasn't written to compete with any company, but could MS' zealotry been its downfall in the server & embedded market?
From the article I can't tell if it was in the bios or not:
"I call back, and speak to a tech support woman. She says: "press Tab." I explain that I can't without saying I've read and agreed to documents I don't have. She says "press page down". Same problem. She says "scroll down". **I explain it's not a Windows screen**. She says "insert any Dell-shipped CD". I exlpain the problem of opening the CD packaging."
Is this some kind of wierd bootloader or something? Anyone with a new Dell care to comment?
The parent poster is correct, I stopped using Norton & McAfee about 4 years ago, when I realized the fully updated (& legal) versions of those 2 AV suites were missing viruses that a free scanner (Trend or F-Prot, I can't remember) was picking up.
Well, she could hold her own against the 6-8 people that would congregate at our house on a semi-regular basis to play, so I didn't feel too badly about it.
Hey, you got me there, it sure seemed like a lot longer than 3 years ago. I was never trying to bring politics into my original statement however, you did that for me.
Democrat or Republican, they're all the same anyhow.

There might be a plugin that does just that, hell they already have card games plugins, how hard could a launch bar be?
Jaysyn

RedMeat
Ok, RedMeat is in a few papers, but it still rocks.
Jaysyn
....That we'll see a DRM enabled worm/virus, that can't be cleaned?
Jaysyn
It was probably just that game, I heard horrible, horrible things about it.
Jaysyn
Thanks!
Do you have any links to that? I've got an LG combo drive, and would like to find something similar for it.
Jaysyn
Oddly enoughy Microsoft isn't either.

Jaysyn

Brazil & Germany are hardly 3rd world countries.
Jaysyn
Not all that wonderful, there are reasons why she's an ex.

My ex loved StarCraft, and every so often she'd beat me at Tekken3.
Jaysyn
Well they *can* always make more for cheaper than what anyone else could make them.

What's harder than diamond?

The Xtians that built this country *stole* it from my people who were here first.
