    Parent poster asked for discussion on what would happen in a certain situation. Well the above is what will happen if the situation is left unchecked. All of this is the thin wedge of the slippery slope so to speak.

    My 99 Expresso is rev limited to @ 115Mph. Of course, I can remove the govenor & the car will still work. I doubt the PC will after DRM (Pally, whatever) hardware been removed.

    Not to nitpick, but my car has a rev limiter that keeps it from going over 115mph (yes, I've tried this).

    I'm mostly a Windows user & a Linux newbie, I can install Linux, and do most GUI stuff but am lost for the most part on the command line (for now..). I prefer Gnome over KDE because I find it to be more (and I hate saying this) User Friendly. Everything just seems to be where it's supposed to be, and KDE seems kinda kludged to me. Of course I haven't used KDE3 yet so....

    I have a buddy in the Air Force, he's probably about 125 lbs in his boots. I've seen him work a guy 2 1/2 times his size like he was Jet Li or something, it was amazing.... .. of course he was never the type to start a fight either...

    Yeah, this works great if you live in a rathole like L.A. or New York. I live 60 miles from work & commute in everyday. I do this so I can live out in the county on 10 acres, and not have to deal with my fellow humans, because most of them suck.

    Don't get me wrong, I drive a 4cyl, and do what I can for the environment, but I'm not about to give up my peace & quiet (and the ability to walk outside naked whenever I feel like it) so I can live in a large city with public transportation & deal with the idiots also residing there.
