Actually (depending on the game) it might be a "para-para" game. Para-para is (afaict) the Japanese equivalent of Taibo. It's supposed to be a kind of exercise based on dancing. Or vogue (the dance) based on kung fu. I have no idea.
No offense, but this has been done before (and was largley the "way things were" for hundreds of years before labor unions existed. Labor unions have fallen out of favor in America (I don't know about elsewhere) and the benefits they provided are forgotten.
Eh? Masters of Magic works fine on my modern (dual athlon,1g ram, win2k) machine. You just need to go into c:\winnt and change the properties on _default.pif [config file for nt cmd windows] and make it allocate more simulated xms.
Sound doesn't work for me, though iirc it has for other people if you can figure out how to configure it right and if your sound card can emulate a SB16 nicely. And it *is* Master of Magic so it's a little crashy sometimes...
Well, it's rather difficult when everyone else buys into the excessive consumerism in American culture and drive the rents and land values absurdly high.
Come on now, there's not that much "catching up" to do. US education systems have been degrading for decades now.
Americans shouldn't need tarrif protections to compete, Americans need to realise that in order to compete they need to work harder and likely sacrifice quite a bit.
Like I said, that's what my brain does to try to 'justify' something so that it doesn't bother me so much.
Personally I think that American citizens should rise up in mass protest and remove the current administration from office. Others... disagree to say the least. In the end, the best thing for *me* to do is probably go about my business while trying to ignore something I cannot help. So that's what I do. (besides complaining about it on slashdot)
Absolutely. Also notice that certain public figures that are "unpatriotic" are being unduely harassed for such views?
The pulling of Martin Sheen's visa commerical come to mind.
The big stink about Rick Nash's comments at the Mavericks game.
The Dixie Chicks getting their music pulled from radio stations.
Locally there's a radio DJ who's ranting on about how protesters deserve shot for hurting America's economy (ignoring the fact that the 'war' will cost (b/m)illions of dollars)
I'd guess that Vietnam protesters probably were also viewed as unpatriotic at the time (as I was not alive for the war, and history likely has biased things)
Perhaps I could explain it to you, but then I'd have to kill you?
Seriously though, I'd wager there's classified intelligence information that points to future agression by Iraq which is best handled before it becomes a significant danger.
(or at least that's the only situation that I can come up with that could even excuse the unwarranted agression )
Actually iirc the Spanish-American war (and earlier, manifest destiny, basically everything after the Revolution) was late 19th century, and around the turn of the century America became isolated a bit until Pearl Harbor.
I'd say that the US is well aware of cultural differences (given the cultural diversity within the US, especially in cities, and the west coast). So what else causes such... apathy for other countries? Arrogance? Stupidity?
I on the other hand generally dislike American culture. I generally dislike American people who are oblivious to their (our) own falicies. I also have very little faith in it's (our) politicians, who by and large are the most heneous [sp] offenders.

iirc cnn has an irc server (irc.cnn.com)? that has a bot spouting their closed caption feed.
Not exactly a great feed [or unbiased!], but a good way to keep in touch of what's going on.
eh? The US has not been isolationist since Pearl Harbor. You think they'd be busy sticking their noses/military in other people's affairs if they were?
Odd, I'd assume that serieses would be done much better than a movie as far as nuances go. Being in a series, you'd get more feedback about what works, what doesn't... You'd also have the experience of learning some 'tricks' for certain characters/situations.
It wouldn't be immediate, but the Simpsons started out looking terrible. Even South Park has had noticable improvement over time.
You mean we don't open our postal mailboxes and find 45 junk emails...?
I don't, but given that I only get 3-4 useful messages, and 15-20 spam mails, it's akin to the email spam percentage for most people (I get very minimal amounts of spam now)
Huh? they mentioned their extremely high selling live cards too. It's not Creative's fault that the card is now cheap ($27 oem from pricewatch) and sufficient for even gamers' needs...
Odd that this market is one where people don't seem to be upgrading to something they don't need.
They're actually much better than others I've had to do tech support, but then again both of my parents are technically inclined (programmer and CAD drafting), and are smart enough to know how computers work, and smart enough to know what they can't do.
Dubbed or subbed? The subbed version was only out at a few 'artsy' theatres in the area.

In addition to his regularly scheduled English courses...

Where when you say momentum you really mean money?
hrmm. The war is making me overly cynical today methinks...
It should be like the interviews: everyone post drafts/revisions, top 10 moderated get sent in heheh
I certainly agree. I merely wish I were wrong.

Hrm. There's a difference between disagreement, and being discriminatory. If the Dixie Chicks music was good yesterday, why not today?
Perhaps it's just my personal dislike of how people try to group something irrelevant with something they're judging.

Hence the gamers and graphical artist statement. Refresh rates are important to people playing reflex type games.

I'm not sure so many people like Al Gore as dislike GW Bush...

What stocks do you own?
I do tech support for my family :]
