    Yes, and the software that runs voting machines is "useless to us", too.

    I think the submitter is missing the point. This (probably) closed-source tool by Microsoft (that bears repeating... by MICROSOFT) is going to be used by law enforcement to help throw people in jail. If for no 'practical' use, now that COFFEE is leaked, people will be able to reverse-engineer it an see exactly what it is doing, and how. That is a good thing.

    Pointless? Not exactly. New viruses can appear on your systems before there are any patterns for them. It is then left to to a scan and a clean-up to deal with it.

  19. If you vote because you think your one vote is going to make the difference between your guy getting elected or not, you're voting for the wrong reasons. One vote has NEVER made a difference in a state-wide or Federal election.

    When you grow old and/or sick, and your savings are rendered worthless when the great Free Market has one of its funny turns, should you remove yourself from the face of the earth, or should the Free Market do it as you lie down and starve to death?

    That's a good question. Should life become too miserable, I have every intention of "removing myself from the face of the earth". It's one of the reasons I have chosen not to reproduce; it's nice to have the option of saying, "screw you guys" and checking out without having to worry about leaving dependents behind.

    If the world or my existence became so brutal that it would force me to live under highly undignified or relentlessly painfully circumstances, you can be DAMN sure I'll not stick around to willingly experience it.

    One vote is not going to make a difference. Anyone who walks into a voting booth thinking that "oh, my vote could make a difference" is delusional.

    I vote because it's what Americans do. It's what a virtuous man does, not because I actually think my vote will change anything. So I'll vote for the person I think SHOULD be president, not "the least evil guy who can actually win because I don't want to 'throw my vote away'".

    Anyway, from the glider FAQ:

    "Gliding is a bit different from a regular person playing. It's not as smart as you when it comes to additional monsters piling on, runners, casters, obstacles in the way, or anything else tricky."

    So no, it does not "play better than a human". It just plays poorly for long periods of time, and thus earns the character experience points.
