Uh... they barely gave enough time for the "hardcore" guilds to get through the newest content (Naxx)... nevermind the casual players that had -no- chance of ever seeing the majority of end-game content that was out for 2 years.
Now they are promising 1x expansion every year?
Well, I guess that ensures everyone that they won't have a life for years to come.
Okay, so I don't like Dell laptops either. I truly believe they are the cheapest, low grade, and generally most pitiful made modern computers.
IBM sold their laptop division to some no-name, can't be yet trusted for quality company over seas... what's that leave us?
Okay, so I can't completely blame you for being ignorant, as the media has completely mis-lead the entire public on the IBM/Lenovo deal. Please understand, they didn't literally sell off their divison, they own a large stake in it. Thinkpads are thinkpads, and will remain thinkpads. IBM is still doing R&D, and is still doing support. They are trying to take advantage of the cheaper costs because Dell (The Walmart of the industry) has the country thinking $750 is a great price, even for a laptop put together with elmer's glue. ThinkPads will remain the most robust laptops on the market moving forward.
By the way, Toshiba and Sony make really cool laptops too. Don't start the "Sony price" thing, because powerbooks are... price heavy?
Less to do with it being Apple, more to do with being better than Dell and HP and the rest of the crap out there.
I happen to love Apple and their hardware. One other thing Apple has a LOONG way to go is support. HP and IBM's support are lightyears beyond anything Apple has to offer. And God forbid you buy an Apple from a reseller and not Apple direct. You might as well have bought a Dell to Apple tech support, because they want nothing to do with you or your machine.

Are you kidding me? The most expensive display I saw on the site was $7,999.. not only could he buy as many of those as they sell, but he can buy the company that makes them, the companies that make the components, and the companies that make the toilet paper that go in the bathrooms of all said companies.

Jeeze, my Optonline single account gets about that per day.
Come to think of it, I suppose if I got that many free samples of Viagra, I could start my own Pharmaceuticual company.
It is amazing how ignorant people are to how much mark-up there are in computers.
I sell computers for a living, including Apple. I sell in very large quantities, to very large organizations.
Apple computers, along with Dell and HP/Compaq have tremendous internal markups. Upwards in the 30% range. The usual "5-10%" people talk about are the reseller markups, not the manufacturer markups.
The money is in accessories for resellers, not manufacturers. Get it right.
Also, Virginia Tech bought those machines at an excellent discount (compared to what other people get), but nothing extra-ordinary. Don't ever think ANYONE is getting $5,000 G5's for $4,000. That does not happen, ever. Even for orders of 5,000 machines. Literally, even not for orders of 5,000 machines... trust me.
Make no mistake, Apple does not sell the majority of their products. And make no mistake, Apple's bread and butter are educational institutions. Virginia Tech got their money worth, but Apple made a pretty penny.
Hmmm. Are the FBI *THAT* bored to go after warez kiddies than the REAL threats of the country? Have they caught all of the morons sending anthrax around?
Take care of the pirates after our REAL threats are neutralized. Is it just me, or is a group of 15-20 year old guys that pirate M$ Word less of a threat than an Osama Bin Laden follower with 5 bars of C4 strapped to his waste?
Just because the cable is split means nothing. It's still capped at 500k/s down and about 150k/s upstream.. and there is a lot more bandwidth out there than that, no?
I currently use Optimum Online cable service. I have a 3COM cable modem, hooked up to a linksys router that has a 10/100 LAN port that hooks up into a 100mbit 3COM Office Connect Hub. Obviously, this setup is to share the bandwidth between two computers.
Just say that the cable modem from Radio Shack is compatible with my cable service (DOCSIS/DOCSYS?), is it really possible to hook up the two cable modems and get more bandwidth?
If so, how? I am trying to read the posts but some of it is latin to me.
Also... if it is not possible to hook up two cable modems to the same coax line from the cable company, is it possible to order a second cable line to come into the house, then pay monthly service on that line, and hook up a cable modem to that line, and then combine the two cable modems bandwidth? (Load balancing perhaps?).
Thanks.

As far as : . [Updated 12 July 17:01 GMT by timothy] Sigh. As even more people have pointed out, that's "University of Rochester," not "Rochester University." All set?:) The Univeristy of Rochester soccer team all wear shirts that say "RU" on them, not "UR".
Same thing is happening to ACN in The Newsroom (HBO) right now.
Some Tech Billionaire screwing up the righteous journalism methodology of the network's senior management.
