If robots take over most of the jobs, is anyone actually going to be able to by the products produced? It sounds like a great deal, to not pay employees, but people without jobs don't make the greatest consumers. Once they quit buying stuff, we will have a bunch of unemployed robots
How do you expecy this work of art to be appreciated, if you only buy the one song? Radio only plays and replays the same songs, so you will never get exposed to the other songs. Of course, on most albums, there aren't more then 3 songs worth listening to, but there still are some albums that are
Wow, I just had an epiphany here! I always tried to pick up the sober chicks, while they still didn't like me. I think you may be on to something with this drunk women scheme
I don't think I could have kept notes on a laptop in University. Maybe it would work if you are doing something like History or English, where the notes will be fairly linear, but if you do anything that you will have to do diagrams for you will have all sorts of problems doing it on a laptop. If you must get a laptop, get an iBook, cause you will look really cool using it, and chicks in fine arts and enviromental studies will approach you for no other reason
I would really doubt that they are. When you buy a server, even a low end one, usually you have the option not to buy it with an OS, since a lot of people are putting Linux on it, or have a Licensing agreement with MS
Most of the questions here could be answered the same way. You sure are adamant that this is a waste of time. And you are wasting a lot of your time on it for someone who things it is such a waste. You are a very curious person indeed
No you wouldn't get the same answer, and that's point. Depending on what room you asked that question to, you will get very different answers. I guarantee that if you asked this same question at a gym, church, school, mall etc you will find the answers tend to group very differently. And the fact that I screwed up and said linux communinty doesn't change things, so I fail to understand your "That's just it"...maybe it's the nerd community. I am sure if we did the Venn diagrams for it all we would notice some intersections. BTW, how does it matter that a question is easily answered? Again, I try and understand your reason for pointing this out, but it goes beyond my comprehension
The 600+ reviews proves that it was worthy of ask slashdot. I actually think it's pretty interesting reading what the linux community likes to read. It is these opinions that will help the person choose something they may not have otherwise tried out.

I have to stand up for Breakfast of Champions. Definetly his funniest, in a black-humour sort of way. Didn't have near the message as Mother Night, or Slaughterhouse V or ever Bluebeard, but still a great book.
Why does real philosophy have to be boring? And how do you know that it was there intentions just to provide entertainment? Maybe they are not on the same level as you, but maybe they wanted to do more then just entertain.
Reminds me of a quote from a song "And though I have nothing to say, I have to say it anyways"

Actually, it doesn't cost more then a penny to produce a penny. It used to, but then they switched to a cheaper design that was comprised mainly of zinc. In 2000 they changed again, and are now made up mostly of steel
This totally reminds me of the Tomy Robot Dustbot that I had when I was a kid. And to think, that technology existed in the 80's
Seems like an easy way to get your setup tested
The sad thing is, you probably don't see why this is such an insult

Was he supposed to be an example of a non-geek gamer? He looks like an even bigger geek then me!
Probably because it has more power, and a better controller, with real analog buttons

It's Mark Mcgwire dip shit
I suggest Focusyn, but beware, side-effects include making you think Major League Baseball is watching your every move!
You work for RIM, right?
The difference being that the fire department is publicly funded, so they don't need people to buy their product
Actually, mileage is getting worse

I am totally with you on Slaughterhouse V, not so much with the others. Vonnegut's Mother Night, and God Bless you Dr Kervorkian were brilliant though

This really is the worst part of it all, one of the things I miss most about the dotcom craze is not getting cool toys like that to play with
Except from the US
