    It is huge, but they have to read these meters somehow. It seems like a large initial cost, but don't think those people walking around read the meters for free. This could actually work out to a big costs savings

    It also does a terrible job at estimating how long a trip should take. I have been wondering if it mistakes the km's for miles, then calculates things. That's how far off the times are

    The NES one really hurt my hands. Not only the corners of the actual controller, but the square d-pad and the buttons would do a number too. yes, I played way too much...
    The 2600 controller was a classic though

    I miss the square corners on the NES controller. They let you know when you played too much, because not just your thumbs would hurt from the buttons, but they would actually hurt the rest of your hand too. A good way to let you know it's time to go outside

    I agree about the splitting hairs. I mean, isn't everything slightly delayed now, to make sure an errant nipple doens't make it on TV, or someone doesn't say a bad word?

    If you were expecting X number errors per thousand lines of code, then it seems to make sense that as the games grow exponentially, the number of errors would as well. If there aren't as many opportunities for errors, the ones that are there will be more readily noticed in the testing phase.

    I agree. I don't see a gender bias, just not many women interested in IT. Why is this wrong, other then it makes it hard to hook up with a coworker.
    The only thing I dislike more is having to see another study every month, stating the same obvious thing. I hope people don't get paid to do this

    The graphics were a little weird, but overall, I thought they were pretty good and artistic. On the plus side, the game does support 16X9 mode, which looks good on an HDTV.
    The music was excellent, though you obviously can't tell that from the screenshots!

    I think a lot of this people miss the point that it is fantasy. I have no intentions of driving 300 km/h, while outrunning the police, as I escape from a gang war. Yet I would do that in a game.
    I also don't plan to use my magic to fight a dragon tonight....and again, I would do that in a game.
    I don't expect anything in a game to be real, it's supposed to be fun. If I want normal every day things, I have enough of that around me. I am looking for some fun, and don't expect it to be incredibly realistic

    It's not just about laziness. They are including things they wouldn't have included, when bandwidth costs more. The know people will probably be browsing with a quick connection, so they include more images, and the ones they include are of higher resolution and quailty. Webpages are more of a multimedia experience then they used to be.
    And then there is lazyness as well...

    They are working on diesel hybrids like this Astra . I think the limiting factor right now is the cost. Both diesel and hybrids cost more money, so if you add to both to one vehicle you are looking at around an $8000 premium! I have also heard that diesels don't benefit from being a hybrid as much, since they use very little fuel when idling, and things like that. A benefit of the hybrid technology would be that it could limit Nox production, since the electric motors would help during acceleration, which is when the most Nox is produced.

    I think it is because if you have a high frame rate normally, then we the scenes get more complicated, you are more likely to run at an acceptable frame rate still. If you are just getting by with the normal scenery, frame rate wise, the complicated scenery will completely bog things down, and make it choppy

    We have had numerous failures of GX270's as well.
    Our service has been great, I just didn't like that until now Dell would not admit there was a problem! When you see the same problem on a second board, you start to think there might be an issue. Then the tech tells you they have been having problems on these boards....but when you phone dell, and say you have had another board go down with leaky caps, they pretend like they have no idea what you are talking about :P

    It may not have an impact on his life, but that doesn't make it easier. It's still parting with a lot of money, and that's hard. Probably even harder for someone who is rich...they didn't get that way by writing a lot of cheques.

    I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't want to have sex for 30 months. The only other example I can see of abstinence is the Catholic church, and we all know how that one works out. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, sex is built into us, so we can perpetuate the species. To deny that is not natural at all.
    They should focus their time on people who can get over a realtionship and still carry on a professional attitude, rather then treat them like babies

    This makes no sense. You don't have to re-buy them if a new standard comes out. If you are happy with the current standard, then by all means, stay with them
    If a new and improved standard comes out, at least you have the option of buying a better version.
    Contrary to prevailing culture, you don't have to keep up with the Joneses. Feel free to be happy with the older version, while people who want the better quaility can pay the price of admission
