    divx3 was a hack of microsofts mpeg4 v3 codec
    divx4 was based on mumosys's code i believe
    and divx5 is just divx4 + extras.

    they dont compare
    qt is a container
    you could say qt sucks avi is better
    or sorensen sucks divx is better

    is windows itself then not an emulator (the 9x series at least) after all it runs on top of a 16 bit os but lets you run 32 bit applications through software trickery.

    odly enough
    i believe the sega dreamcast pulls 1.4gflops to match the cray youd only neeed 46 dreamcasts which means for a measly 2300 you could pull 64.4 gigaflops much lower than 22k per month!

    not enough is known about those two

    and from what i understand (considering i wrote the video driver) using yuv 4:2:0 instead of 4:2:2 wouldnt speed it up that much as the loop he uses to pack the yuv frames packs them straight into 4:2:2

    it uses 4:2:2 => rgb but so far thats about it. and i've played 44khz stereo mp3 on it with 600kbit and vcd res (little over 320x240) and it played just fine.

    just a note, if you find ieradicator (dont have a link here) you can uninstall msie, however it leaves the html engine in (its the part thats tied into everything) but you can uninstall oulook express with no trouble at all without even a patch.

    actually i think the automobile induustry did advance at the same rate. it just reached the end of its rapid development and expansion and is now in the slower phase in which all the easy breakthroughs are done. computers are still in that rapid development
    some day (i suspect around the time quantum computers are used everyday) we will realize technological leaps in computing are slowed down greatly.

    and i suspect that using this you also get the isa port which bitmaster originally intended, so get an isa nic and drop it in.
