Back a few years ago while I was in college, a friend and I ran a little humor club of sorts... Our "publications" were few, but we thought they were pretty quality...

Anyway, in the parody that we made of our school's website, we encouraged people to use Scott Pakin's automatic complaint-letter generator to generate letters to submit to our school paper as letters to the editor. As it turns out, I was reading said paper a few months later, and came across a very familiar writing style... We got quite a kick out of it.

    ahh... memories.

"tearing down this industry" I love it. When the "industry" is calling people in their homes and annoying them with your "amazing new offer," then I say yes! This summer, at my job, Verizon actually called us 3 times in the same day! Seriously. I liked my boss' approach. As soon as they started talking: "I can tell already that I don't want to talk to you." *click"

I think my favorite though is my friend who, when called by some bank being offered a credit card responded with something along the lines of: "That's great! This is just what I need right now. All 6 of my other cards are maxed out, and I had to take out a second mortgage on my house. I was really wondering what I was goign to do!" I think that they actually hung up on her.

I have cell service with SprintPCS, and God forbid that they put even so much as an email address on their account management website. When you try to find a help page, all you can locate is this stupid-@$# "Claire" which is nothing more than a seriously crippled FAQ with a stupid CGI face at the top of the page. There actually is a form that will send an email to a real person, but the link to it is buried in one of the sub-pages.

If they even had a phone number somewhere I would be happy. Just to get that, I had to fill out their form, to which the reply was... uhh... I dunno, call this number. Sheesh.

All I know is that as soon as my 1 year contract is up, I'm dumping Sprint. The service itself has been decent, but when a company avoids giving actual personal help like they do, I won't do business with them.

What I am doing is the same thing that my parents, and their parents before them did, and it has led all of them down a road of amazing happiness and joy. And for the rest of our lives, we will never sleep with anyone but each other. I don't for one minute regret my decision to remain pure. Sex is not a game, and it should not be taken lightly. Sleep around (as in with more than one person, period) and suffer consequences. That's the way the world works.
