  6. Re:Goodbye Perl? on PHP 5 Released; PHP Compiler, Too · · Score: 0

There are plenty of php classes type sites out there that have lots of collections of scripts that do everything you need. The main reason there is less of a need for something like cpan with php is its so feature rich to begin with.

And the reason things are being developed so quickly is becuase there are so many classes that we wrote that share so many functions between the web interface and the command line.

Of course we're using pure OOP so that always helps.

  7. Re:Goodbye Perl? on PHP 5 Released; PHP Compiler, Too · · Score: 0

I've complied PHP scripts, although it I only noticed slight speed increases. It's still esseciential in protecting my code.

I'm current working on a project with 10 PHP developers that has a lot of web based interfaces and lots of batch scripts. The ability to share all the classes works brilliantly. Usually I would write the scripts in perl, but I havent noticed any speed differences in execution and the development time has been decreased dramatically!!

I don't need anything like CPAN, I'm a true coder I can write anything I put my mind too. All I need is php.net.

Overall you can't give an informed opinion until you've tried everything out, so give it a go!!

All 3 movies were written at the same time, but of course there were a few script rewrites along the way.

So if take take all 3 movies as a whole they are pretty amazing.

But I was let down that they did some cg just to show aff rather than for the sake of the story.

Most of the reviews here are so lame, most of you just dont get it.

The reason neo could stop the sentinals is because the read world is another matrix, same as why smith could enter bain.

And for those of you the didnt get the ending, neo had to plug himself into the source and be taken over by smith so the source could have smiths code and "fix the bug".

The movies are so complex, free your mind people!!!

  12. Re:in case of slashdotting on The Matrix: Revolutions Theatrical Trailer · · Score: 2, Interesting

They were always written as a trilogy even before 1 came out, the overall philosophy is so much deeper once they get to the end of rev. It's just not about being able to make great films, it also about expanding peoples minds by placing seeds of doubt about what is real and are we actually in control of our own lives?
