    It does nothing good for the Open Source movement to desperately insert some plug at any opportunity.

    Blanket advertising helped microsofts level of market penetration. Not everything MS does is bad.

    Tasmania was known as Van Diemen's Land. Various colonies, such as New South Wales and Van Diemen's Land, combined to form the Commonwealth of Australia. Van Diemens Land was renamed to Tasmania to honor the first euopean to locate Tasmania.

    I'll also be waiting for quite a while yet. Judging by the xbox360, the only real thing we can expect is more detailed graphics, this new eye candy isn't enough to entice me to hand over my dollars... better gameplay and/or new genres of games would be more likely to get me interested at that price. I'll wait until I can't get any decent games for my xbox and then I might consider getting a ps3 or xbox360.

    I store my collection at /mnt/raid/MP3/

    Each genre is stored in a subfolder.

    Each album is stored in a subfolder depending on the month that I obtained it.

    To find a particular song/album I simply issue the find command. For further info man find

    Its just like a filing cabinet... oh wait, thats what a directory structure is...

    i'd donate a small amount of money if my email was permanently displayed on each and every wallpaper of the laptops which i paid for. i'm sure a few others would too. $100 isn't that much to help create a better world. spam filters are good enough today so that i wouldn't fear my inbox being filled with junk.

    Intelligent people like us here at slashdot sometimes forget that the minions out in suburbia are quite happy to keep paying out money so that they can have their heads filled with propoganda. The sad thing is most of them don't even know it is going on. The power that comes with controlling the media is HUGE! Just take a look at what the nazis did with their controll of the media.

    Surprisingly the majority of spam actually goes away if you unsubscribe from it at the bottom. I used to get 1500-2000 spam messages a week until I started unsubscribing.

    Suprisingly it didn't do that for me. The best method I know of is to forward all my mailboxes into gmail and let that filter do its work.

    I think it can be controlled via midi if you use the rewire function of Reason through cubase. Not very helpfull on its own though :(
