    You are so stupid and ignorant, your company deserves to go under just for having you on the payroll.

    I work at a Fortune 100 company, in IT, and I've never seen a projector with HDMI input. I am sure they exist, but they sure as hell aren't common in any real business.

    The iPad can go VPN connections, so it should be far safer than allowing (Windows) laptops on. It can do video output to any format you're likely to require, and it has Wireless N for fast transfers as needed. If it doesn't fit, it's because you don't really need a tablet, not because it wouldn't work.

    I've had my Macbook since 2005. I replaced the HD with a larger capacity drive that died in short order because the laptop fell off a car seat onto the floor repeatedly. The original HD works, so far as I know, but I replaced it again for more capacity. The power brick failed on me as well, after 5 years of ownership. There are a few cracks in corner from being banged up so much, but it works just as well as it ever did.

    I have also owned an iPod Touch since late 2008. Works perfectly well, even after several hundred hours of listening in the rain or sweltering heat on longer bike rides.

    My Windows XP install lasted for years, until the harddrive finally died. Of course, I didn't install every browser toolbar and plugin known to man. It's not the OS that gets overloaded, it's the dozens of additional crap that people install for no particular reason.

    Apple laptops are usable for years longer than most PC laptops. And by usable, I also mean useful. My 2005 Macbook is going strong.

    I am not sure if you're still under that impression, but it was never true. The 3G version does not require a data plan unless you want to use 3G. In addition, it's no-contract, so you can purchase a single month at a time. That might be more time than you need for a vacation, but it's far less than you'd pay with any kind of PAYG plan.

    NTFS does not need defragging, and for a long time MS did not have any official API to even allow for it. Third-party software hooked into the filesystem drivers and were basically barely-sanctioned hacks. In terms of security, NTFS has supported ACLs (both mandatory and discretionary) from day one. Ext2 has no such support.

    For some reason, NTFS does not allow deleting/replacing a file that is in use. Thus, most (security) updates have to replace system files which are in use. On NT, this is only practical during boot.

    There are probably 10s of thousands of examples of women-only groups in the US that have nothing what-so-ever to do with religion. Just because creation of this new group was probably religion-inspired does not make it any less "in keeping with the American spirit". Quite the opposite, it is part of the American spirit to allow groups to practice their religious beliefs -- in-so-far as they don't conflict with society at large.
