    My understanding is that UC is simply outsourcing. H1Bs are in-house employees brought from another country. Not the same.

    Apple has always done what they wanted in terms of features, ports and technology. They only have to justify decisions to shareholders, and I doubt there are any shareholders who matter that are wringing their hands over Apple's stock price at the moment.

    If you don't like the product, don't buy it. It's not difficult, unless you have the severe mental issues often demonstrated by many bigoted shitfaces who unreasonably hate a company they do no business with.

    Right. Because Apple developed lightning just a few weeks before the iPhone 5 was released. They could have waited a year or two for USB-C to be available. No problem.

    Apple is the one company who pushed for, and got, major studios to release non-DRM media. This whole slashdot meme where Apple lives on DRM is just a delusion. It's the slashdot RDF. Apple doesn't even protect their OS, and only go after people trying to sell hackintoshes.

    Expecting an employee who is being fired to train his replacement is immoral. This is even more so when the employee is being fired without cause.

    The employees have every right, both legal and moral, to stonewall the education of their replacements. It would be immoral to sabotage systems or update documentation to be incorrect, but passive resistance is fair game, and far better than the University deserves.

    It's well-known that OEMs take money from software publishers to include their software pre-installed. By refusing Windows, and by extension, all the pre-installed software, the customer is actually causing Sony a loss. Sony should charge the self-entitled asshole for taking back the OEM key.

    You have a valid point with respect to copyright and the way it has been applied to software to stifle resales. However, even if selling one's copy of Windows OEM were legal, it would still be wrong to insist that Sony refund the value of the OS just because one didn't intend to use it. Sony isn't preventing resale of Windows, the law is.
