The only reason why these companies should be pissed is because it saves the users time, thereby possibly shorting their monthly subscription. Some people's time is worth more to them than dicking around grinding for gold. In fact, if you are charging a monthly fee, that would mean that the majority of your users would save money buying rather than grinding.

It smells alot like sudden "morality" of gambling, sex, and drugs. Governments don't want you to buy it unless you're buying it from them. Then it's A-Okay.

If your online game creates an actual economy, you don't get to pick and choose what that market will become. It's supply and demand. There is nothing lost here. The movie will still be released. People will still see it. The data he watched in no way affects their resource.

Because I know how to make a cup of coffee doesn't mean that others can't know how to make a cup of coffee. There is no legal good maintained by this.

The question of ownership of an intangible infinite resource such as knowledge isn't even a question. It's insane and beyond a slippery slope.

The fact is that when it comes to property, it is either a finite contentious resource or it isn't property.

See AOL for an example of this.

As far as you getting out of college with no experience. I'll tell you what use your college degree has in IT. That little check mark at the bottom of the page asking where you went to school. That's the one. And only low level virgin jobs ask for that. If you have 15 years of experience, nobody gives a flying crap if you went to college. And they ask for your CV, which is not the fill in the blanks kind of resume.

At the place where I work, we cannot hire people like you. Our systems are too important to the planet. But, have hope. The FBI/CIA has just opened up 3000 jobs, and they may have an entry level opening. I know they like to have people with college degrees there, and little else. So I would honestly give that a shot at this time. You will have to move to find a job. Just make that a given for the next 10 years. You will be moving.

I wish you the best of luck. Please don't think a degree means anything. It has no bearing on anyone I have ever hired for the last 10 years. It's just a road block if you don't have it AND have no experience.

Yes, the most racist and nationalistic people that I have ever met on this planet have been Chinese. Japanese talk the talk, but in practice, they intermarry more than any other asiatic race. And they are loyal to ideology, not race. So the Chinese take the gold for nationalism, and secondarily, racism.

Now to speech. Americans are more individualistic. Americans don't wake up every morning and see society looking back at them in the mirror. They don't care what you think they should think. Society can burn to ash. It doesn't have a soul and it isn't a human life. It's a mental construct of your own lack of self-esteem. I think your wife is typical for F.O.B. chinese, as you've said. Typically mindless and about as socially enlightened as a monkey fucking a football. No reason whatsoever.

The purpose of free speech as a Right of human beings is that inhibiting disruptive speech destroys said human beings. If we agreed with what every person said, we wouldn't need to guarantee free speech. We would all agree. It would be pointless, just like the opinions of a billion Chinamen. Pointless, because they do not defend their Right as human beings to speak. And if they have no respect for themselves, why should anyone else respect them.
