I happened to live next door to the neighborhood bully. I was his first target every day. One day, as he was harassing me, I pulled a toy cap pistol from my pocket. He laughed and said 'You're gonna shot me?" I answered "No". Instead, I pistol whipped him. I brought the butt of the toy down on top of his head once, as hard as I could. This was the early 60's, toys were made of metal. I cut him up quite badly. He went crying home to his mommy with blood flowing down his face. He confronted me later that day and informed me that his dad told him that he was never supposed to "lose a fight." I told him that he just had and went in the house. He left me alone until the following winter when he and his thug friend pushed me into a snowbank at the local skating rink. I had grown a bit since the last confrontation. I stood over him, shoved a finger in his face and said "I don't want to have to hurt you again." I turned my back on both of them and skated away. He's been nice to me to this day.

Exactly!!! I'm sick to f-ing death of people who say that we don't need gov't. and that capitalism will provide for the unfortunate. Yeah, right. Those big business folks sure put the bucks into the places with no return on investment, don't they. You hear about BillG giving a million dollars to some charity and everyone thinks that's some great sacrafice on his part. That's like a nickel to the average guy. Sure the gov't can be corrupt. Look at Nixon or that lying sack of crap, Reagan. Talk about dishonesty. They're outta there. Try voting a CEO out. If you don't buy the products and the business sags, they lay off 10,000 people and get a huge-ass bonus. Anyone remember AT&T? At least the money going to gov't flows two ways. We pay taxes and we get infrastructure. Sometimes it's wasteful. What's your point? People have jobs, the economy rolls on. Give control to big business, like the minority of the population did in the last election and the money only flows uphill. The infrastructure become private property. Those that control it unregulated, prevent competition and we might as well bend over because we're about to get the big one. I trust politicians far more than I trust businessmen. Politicians owe their livelyhood to the public. I was channel surfing last night and came across CSPAN and CSPAN2. Funny, there weren't any "Corporate Board Meeting" channels. Ever wonder why? But I digress... Impeach Bush and We'll Call it Even!
