    If you do a search on slashdot for "do it yourself dsl" or something like that you can find a article where someone did exactly this. He has a step by step guide to doing it.

    So if I have a cd, and my friend has the same cd, and I make my cd into mp3s because I spend too much time on the computer, and don't want to shuffle around for cds. Then I let my friend download the mp3s from me, even though he has the same cd, its wrong?

    wow you really are slow aren't you? just change the correct parts. Last I checked every country that wanted one, has a country code. therefore you just change the correct parts. so the .us or .uk could become .in or .ca or .tv, there now that I've explaned it in simple terms do you understand?

    Wow why did you pay $50 for a copy of FreeBSD, I just downloaded a cd image. Maybe you should try reading the documentation better, then you would know that it is Free.

    Don't know if you read the thing about Passport and thier TOS, but someone stated that a FAQ isn't binding where as if they say something in the License agreement or TOS, they have the right to do it even if it contridicts the FAQ

    So with all of the RFC's you could transmit TCP/IP over HTTP which is over TCP which is over IP which is being transmitted by avian carriers!

    This thing can be extra nasty because of the root kit, but almost anyone will notice the extra services running. Although people with old versions of bind should upgrade, its just common sense now. You might of been able to get away with an old version before now, but with this it would be a pain to have to rebuild the box.

    I was just playing Diablo 2 over the internet with only 128mb of ram on a p2 266 no less. I have friends who have played it with a p1 166 and 64 mb of ram and still no lag.(the min. requirments I think) I think your computer is kinda crappy if you need 256mb...are you playing it though wine or something?

    I agree for the most part, but I think the whole point was, why doctor it if it can do it already. So if they had to doctor it some people are probably thinking that the xbox can't do it.

    Lets say you want to render a huge 3-d image or something that would use tons of processor power. Do you want to sit at your computer for 5 days waiting for it to finish? or just offload it to a faster computer so that you can still use yours for other stuff. Plus this would be extreamly useful if you are at collage or something and go home to vist your parents, you could still access importain stuff on your desktop.

    they have a huge selection plus they will make/sell the cds for you and you get half the profits. Plus if you put samples up, when people download them you get some payment
