Who the hell has time for that? As a average it sounds terrible, I suppose some people have the TV on from the time they come home until they go to bed?
As a family without the money to replace the TV, I think the service to call the time was used much longer in our household. In the early 80's people started getting TVs with teletext https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... and from our national broadcasting service, the time in the teletext status line were accurate enough to use for adjustment of any clock.
Yeah, my local mountain bike club has updates on the track condition, work days etc in facebook, our homeowners unions sends out updates on facebook, my local butcher on good deal about imported American meat. So when I removed Facebook from my life, there were a few annoyances like that I don't see these updates anymore. But mostly it was a blessing to get rid of it.
If I were to enable my account again(do they "timeout" if they have been disabled for too long?), I won't be installing any of their apps on my phone which will be hard since people expect that they can contact me via the messenger app. So I guess I won't be enabling it.:D
I know everybody just LOVES it and I am alone on this. But micro payments / in app purchases killed the games for me. I don't mind paying for the games and I used to buy new ones every month. But I haven't spent money in any "app store" in over 2 years now.
Indeed, I downloaded videos from youtube to watch on a longhaul flight. As Youtube "red" isn't available in my country, I used youtube-dl. Took me a minute to google how to download youtube videos and type "apt-get install youtube-dl".
True. I think the old site is dead, when I saw the first mention of a buzzfeed "article", I know something was up and it wasn't good. It is such a shame. I have been looking for another source of serious tech news for some time.
In some European countries they are not really allowed, thank FSM. Some try to get around it by planting a big truck or container on a field or whatever close to the freeway or other road and it looks like crap. I am happy that our roads and nature are not polluted with billboards everywhere.
I have been looking at these type of devices too, as I am getting in to better shape, why not buy gadgets and make it more fun. But I could not really see what they could do for me, and I must say I had concerns about how much data I am giving out to unknown parties.
my iPhone says that the app wants access to GPS even when I am not using it or have opened it. So these get uninstalled again. I believe the last one I tried was Waze.
it does come at a price to have that much renewable energy. We have among the highest prices in the world for electricity in Denmark. 75% of the price are taxes. Now they are talking about lowering the price by 10% by cutting some of those "green" taxes. But since the money has to come from somewhere, they are just putting that on income taxes instead. Local businesses are happy because they don't get to pay anymore, consumers are happy because that are too stupid to have listened to the part that their income tax are going up, they just say "oh great lower price for electricity".
manage to get them started? (wifi?) Did they have extra battery / external power source? More information please. Looks great bit TFA lacks all the REALLY interesting information.:)
No there's whole bunch of them, Anonymous Coward, and sorry, but it is the worst bullshit. Well, won't waste more time on a week ass Anonymous Coward. Looser.:D

As usual, we have bought some time by using NAT. Now many(if not all) cell phones get their internet through NAT.

I guess Bibendum are the exception. :)
The SJW crowd are a never ending source of comedy. I liked the recent one about huffpo's all woman editorial meeting. Comedy gold.
Yeah, and then i actually looked at the picture on TFA. 10*plus size indeed.
Many of the +sized model are really ++++++++++++++++sized. :D
They managed to fuck up the pirelli calendar with that.

It sounds to me like they are focusing on the part of Top Gear I liked the least.
There were a few gems but I could have done without most of them.

I think so. You can see the live statistics for Denmark here:

It's "The Verge", and they didn't demand that I checked my privilege?
