    So I don't understand if Harry's cloak is this Hallows or hallowed cloak that is so freaking *uber* how come Mad-eye could see through it? Was his eye even more uber than the cloak? Seems contrived.

    They lost my bussiness. I built a computer for a friend. Not something fast, just a plain black box that could burn cd/dvds. I used his credit card for the parts and just figured I'd take the 30-40 bucks in rebates for compensation. No dice. No rebates.

    Because of Tigerdirect.com I send EVERY rebate from I get now via the U.S. Mail, 1st Class with delivery confirmation. An extra 3.85 that I should not have to spend... /McK

    I would imagine so...however "normal" dvds probably would not have the resolution required to look "normal" on a movie screen.

    I mean really...would this product even be around if it MAME was not? This almost seems like a troll. This is *almost* worse than the RIAA and that is saying something. I guess the analogy would be the RIAA suing artists...I digress.

    I guess we know what #3 in 90% of all business models is now.

    At first I read the summary and freaked.

    My mind raced witht the possible applications...this lasted 1/2 of a second. Then I stopped writing new sci-fi reality in my mind, read the company's website. It's really cool but has no where near the applications of TRUE wireless power.

    Not here. I had to bail from Verizon DSL about 6 months ago when I started to get frequent disconects. My neighborhood was built in the mid to late 70s and the copper is degrading. It will be a LONG TIMEtm before I could see anything like this. They can't even keep 768/128 up to my location. This would require digging up 100s of backyards and re-laying the cable. I just don't see it. Not before 2010.

    I cannot imagine that this will last longer than a week. I know that this guy has a lot of property, and the range of a .22 is about 3/4 of a mile...however.
    I have one question.
    Who other than Lloyds of London could insure this hair brained scheme? The premiums have to be HUGE!
    I would take a .22 shot to the leg on his property in exchange for all of his land ;-0

    Well in case anyone was wondering it did speed up. Most I could get was between 200-250K. However once the files reached 52% I was able to load up the game and play. It is a SMOOTH game. I can't wait to see the mods that come out for this. So basically having bought the game at 4am I was playing it at 6:45 or so. Not so bad once the connection got up to speed. I'm off to newegg to put together a better box. Any suggestions? ;)

    Well I don't know if you would consider a 838 Meg download a big download. However I just checked and the steam download is jumping from 20KB to a max of 95 or so. It's all over the place. It's not steady and it's not saturating my bandwidth. I guess I can't argue though as other people are downloading just like me :)

    Couldn't sleep and I was sick of infomercials so I decided I would try this steam thing...seeing as it was unlocked today. I dusted off the copy of HL1 a few months back and got aquainted with steam. Steam got HL1 down and playable on my machine in notime. They must be getting SLAMED. I have 4 meg down and steam (when used for HL1) saturated my bandwidth. As it sits now I bought the game and started downloading it at 4am. It's now 4:45 EST and I have 6% of HL2 downloaded. Ready to play in aprox. 321 minutes. So maybe this stint with insomnia will be spent watching the progress bar. If you are planing to buy HL2 as much as I'd rather the money go to Valve I would have to suggest you get a boxed copy....and leave Valve content server 18 alone...:P
