I was watching Discovery a long time ago (1997, i think), and they said that if a head is fed (HEY THAT RHYMES!) oxygen and neccesary food, it will regrow a body. Weird, huh?

Well, whoever cracked it really did us a service.
Now, we'll have an EVEN HARDER time trying to
get whatever they plan to stick SDMI into
working on homebrew hardware or in Linux. Someone
should seriously flop the cracker.

Bobcore, INC, announces a new product. It is a system that allows inventors to register their inventions in a system that gives them all rights to their invention. However, Intellectual Property is NOT allowed in this system. We call it.. "Inventents". We were granted US Patent number -666 recently.
If I have an OC-3, i'm getting more music for $4.95 than the guy on the 28.8;) Perhaps I should pay more than $4.95 because I could download a whole CD in a few seconds?

Online signatures would work for software until I went to buy a copy. Why's that? I'm 14! My signature isn't valid. And if my mom or dad signs the EULA, depending on the wording, I cant use it.

I'm Catholic.
Do I believe that someone can holler "HAVE SIGHT MY HANDICAPPED ONE! SEE THE LORD!", backhand someone, and give them sight? No. Put it this way. If I'm right and my God does exist, I go to heaven, and you go to hell. I die happy, you, well, die unhappy. If there is no god, we die and never find out either way. Of course, maybe the Hindus are right and I get punished severly for all the beef I eat...
That I am lucky enough to own very good VHS equipment. I have a professional player, and a professional play/recorder. 6 heads, no flying erase. I also have a video capture board. And a DVD Decoder board (Hollywood+). Weehoo.
Perhaps I should start using DeCSS the way the courts think it should be used? No?
You decide.

you forgot local server channels;) &(channel name)
Guys,
You didnt pay for the hardware. To most consumers they see it as, "Hey, I can just scan this Pepsi bottle and end up on their website. Cool.". Then there are also the CueCat "Cues". DigitalConvergence probably sells those, so they make money. A barcode scanner doesnt just appear for free. It costs them money. You see all sorts of businesses going under because they ran out of money. It is because of people like you that advertisers dont buy adspace from a company WITH A GREAT IDEA and they go under. If DigitalConvergence were to go under, I would blame it solely on the people reverse engineering it. Just because you run Linux doesnt mean your entitled to everything. They chose not to make Linux software because they didnt find it valuable.
This is NOT a flame.
However, like in the case of DeCSS, if you OWN the house but there are no keys to the (weakly locked) door, but the fucked lock company made the same key for all their locks, and you build a key for YOUR house, it would be illegal. It's the damned lock company's fault for making the duped keys (DVD-CCA), so making a fantastic tool for breaking in your own house that you werent given a key to the house you own (using CSS-Auth).
Basically, IP isnt right if you payed to have the property.
Up until about a year ago, most of EFNet was accessible by me. I used a small local ISP that didnt have enough bandwidth to have script kiddies - It was all dialup. Then one by one, they became inaccessable: irc.cs.cmu.edu, irc.lagged.org, irc.colorado.edu, irc.ais.net, irc.ef.net, irc.nethead.net, etc. Not to mention the IRCops are of no help in takeovers unless they are a regular of the channel. If I were an IRCop, that would be one thing UI would make a note of - Help with the damn nick stealers and chan takovers!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Sega worked their asses off trying to get their company back on its feet. It did, with a GREAT turnaround. They tried to protect piracy with proprietary information. A DreamCast disc is software written for a DreamCast. It is (and I hate saying this) copyrighted intellectual property. DCisos.com had no right or reason to want to access the data on those discs, as the DreamCast does this in the fashion they were meant to be. People like this caused the DCMA. DreamCast has not been emulated yet, won't be for a while because AFAIK the chipset/CPU is proprietary, and still then you could BUY the game and BUY a GD-ROM drive. They DO exist. Kalisto had no business copying games. They were not for backup purposes. I frankly think SEGA should win this battle. I do not like the DCMA, but there IS reason for it.

Actuallly, TV resolution (NTSC standard 3:4 ) is 512x384 resolution, and standard NTSC widescreen DVDs are 720x480. Some TVs, However, are capable of higher-than-TV-resolution at the tube level, and will say so in the specs.
You are seriously blind if you think that Information wants to be free. For instance: A little kid comes up to you and says "I just pooped my pants". Did you care? Does anyone REALLY care? No. Something that doesn't have life CAN'T think. Saying information wants to be free is like saying a rock wants to move.
The same applies for PayPal. You must have a US ADDRESS to sign up. You can use ANY bank account that has a routing number. The 18 rule sortof-applies, considering that to hold a bank account, you must be cosigned with an adult or be over 18. I'm 14, and PayPal does the job for me.
Well im boered so...
Bah. Bell Telephone is alot better than British Telecom is! Even the England folks admit it. Oh yeah, and color, center, check;-) Although, I usually do spell centre the English way;)
How does this keep them from splitting up microsoft? Just because the baby bells aren't known as Bell Telephone doesn't mean the telephone that came with the house I live in BEFORE the split up stopped working. The same would of course apply to Micro$oft. WinAmp wont suddenly cease to work because Micro$oft got split up. Not a PR stunt, a legal stunt.
A. I've seen the Andrej Bauer persona say that they had software written for image recognition.
b. Andrej Bauer's persona is undoubtedly trained by Bauer himself. Also, I bet the persona "asked" before putting Trinity in.
and,
c. It says elsewher on the (old) site that the SOMADS are also taught by the web, and by books.

In the US its a 5kHz wide channel, and the frequency limit is 20kHz. (eg, 40kHz digital sampling)

Okay, I cant make it short and sweet because of "Lameness filter". First time i've encountered that. They make money off the ads ;)
22 UGLY colors at that.
