modding seems to be taking least importance as newer games get harder and harder to mod for and have smaller communities.
just for example since it is what i played the most quake 4 has few mods and maps quake 3 had more but less than quake 2 quake 2 had tons but nothing extremely creative over quake 1

quake 2 had really fun multiplayer:)
iD isn't much of a gamedev company anyways. They make tech and a shell that people can demo the tech with. The singleplayer games are something other companies are supposed to look at for what they can do with their own game.
tried googling it? I recall a page existing that hosted the file. It was talking about the motion blur matrix feature for voodoo 3 series cards that was later removed from the game. T framing maybe?
yep. Since asheron's call i've spent less time buying other games. It wasn't until I had a gigantic disposalable income that I bought more than a few games a year. Even still most, or at least half of mine or presents.
Digital distribition is weak because of a lack of a physical product. That will always be the weak point. For consoles full games for download won't take off for a long time because of storage space. PS3s harddrive is barely big enough for one blueray disc. Highspeed internet can't deliver full games that fast either.
Your first vehicle might not be great but (assuming you do the license tests) you can get a huge number of cars or bikes for your second. In GT games it's just earning that first 30-60k then the game usually blows right open to being a kid in a candy store with just a few things you can't get.
yeah i'm waiting for the right pvp niche game while I play asheron's call. Playing on the white server I started on with a friend still because to move to darktide it would take weeks of macroing just to get to a high enough level to have a chance against 90% of players.
Guildwars I have done a tiny bit of pvp but only at the lowest skill levels(random pvp arena as opposed to clan teams with larger numbers) the game is too teamwork based for me. Without studying the game rules(skill usuage) and working with the same people/setups all the time you can't be really good at GW.
SotC may be great but it was almost niche. A lot of casual game players wouldn't pick it up. It was also a short game so anyone who really liked it would spend less time playing games this year if they only buy a few.
Unless you brought your own friends you would be alone though sadly. Also loot items have improved making most of the old lower level quest too easy (as well as lacking in material reward). If you killed monsters on the way to any quest dungeon they would drop better weapons than the quest reward.
I liked the weeping weapon quest(well mostly just the last dungeon), lots of wartraps and some hard fights(if you did it on a level 60 with 1 friend)
Gaerlan has lots of dynamics that are fun but I hate needing an archer to do it(I play solo or with just 1-2 friends). The rolling balls of death, riddles, indiana jones style floor puzzle(but no real logic to it unfortunately), mazes, great quest.
Bobo is really fun just because it is something to do and repeatable every 3 days.
IMO the quest started sucking around the end of 2003, and for all of 2004. All just zerg rushes through monsters. I don't think I ever had to heal that whole year... just had to keep ring spelling.
I haven't done many of the expansion quest because all I like to do now is pvp. Questing isn't very hard with over 600 effective melee d on a mage.
I noticed both posters having negative comments about macroing. I know it kept me playing instead of unsubscribing. The level grind just isn't enjoyable to me. I prefer to spend my playtime having the most fun I can and having a higher level character makes that more enjoyable.
A newer x-wing or tie fighter game would be great. I never got to play the newer(old now) games in the series. They could really shine on newer computers(or consoles if you used a pause menu for more advanced commands like energy management). Being able to fly rigth down to a planet or through the second death star would be great.
Vice city and SA were made because they couldn't do the big enough jump for GTA4 yet.
10-15k or 30k but a accuracy rating of B?
percentage wise those are very different numbers. The health of the game would be very different in each case.

Maybe if I am dropped from orbit and into an ocean.
They don't have to go to europe for that, UBC is in Canada which uses metric.
gas is getting quite expensive
can't read the actual article.

The article mentioned firepro wrestling, i'm so stoked. Great edit mode.
Very biased and retarded article after reading the first section.
I was playing it recently too, trying a low level game but got stuck, will probably give that 1 or 2 more tries then level if it doesn't work.
Yeah I want to see what the higher ratings ads are like. The ones released I guess are E and T
The R8 is one of those few I mentioned that you would have to work for.
Once you earn about 60 and buy a good car for winning lots of races you have a license to print money in GT.
I like the GT/TT method.

Firepro wrestling D
best wrestling game of it's time and has still only been minorly improved upon.
How much text are mario kart and pro onion chopper going to take anyways...
if by "interesting" you mean "goatse"
damnit why is my level 75 forced to "fetch me a bunny" i am above this. Oh god before that i had to fetch a twig
