To be honest, living in the belly of the beast itself, Seattle, I see these weirdo's on an almost daily basis. I actually have spent many a drunken night courting these folks at bars in town and lemme tell ya, they are all cultishly 1000500% behind the company and everything they stand for.

In fact, last week, I was telling some finance woman the reason why the worms and virus are so dominant, how it was base level crap that allowed the vulnerabilities, and all she could say to me, with a golden hued gleam in her eyes was:

"Thats why we put security features in both IE and Outlook."

    I said to her:

"Well, so thats great, but did it stop these worms and virus attacks?"

She got uncomfortable, and began to talk about what a great company Microsoft was...

Yeah, and I bet that they will be parsing the frak out of ever IM that passes through their gateway.

"According to Infoworld, Microsoft has announced that as of October 15 some third-party software and older versions of MSN Messenger will no longer be able to log in to their Instant Messaging service. Microsoft cited 'monopoly issues', but declined to offer specifics. The company sent an email alert to Messenger users, but users reported thinking the message was a hoax or virus after receiving over a dozen copies of the email."

Where I work uses NTT/Verioshit for its webhost. We are changing that, but they have double charged us for a 1/4 (to the tune of 300 smackers). Imagine talking to a call rep in India somewhere, who despite having a good command of English, seem to fall short in understanding customer support issues. Its taken me 4 calls, and the issue is not resolved.

A couple days later my business gets a call from a credit card company, where the seller is trying to pre approve us for a card. Guess where she is?

I had to hang up, I am starting to resent it. I have a hard time talking to these people knowing that our jobs are going over there. I dont feel bad against the Indians, I am sure they are happy for work, I am pissed at the greedmasters and the system that breathes only the "bottom line".

I will bet my life that 1000 years from now, when people are trying to understand where we as humans were at this point, the cultural relics (art, metaphysics, music, prayer, etc) that the Bhutanese came up with, long before they had contact with the television, will be recognized as something of value.
