Lots of Mac users do that. Apple has historically overcharged for RAM. They've gotten a bit better about HDs, but Crucial (or other vendor of choice) can just about always beat Apple's prices for memory.
You can pick up a guitar, and learn to play in a few years of actual practice or you can have fun with Guitar Hero after 2 or 3 minutes of figuring out the controller.
I'd argue that attention to detail and producing finished projects is a good component of most positions. If you make spelling mistakes on a resume, why would I assume you're not going to make similar mistakes in emails to users, or documentation, or variables? If someone is willing to put out a resume, something that should have had some time put into it, with major problems, I'm not trusting them with work projects.
That said, thats a very different thing from "I don't like your choice of indentation style." Unpolished grammar is one thing, misspelling "science", Microsoft", and "network" (had to read that set on one resume this week) is something else entirely.
I've set it up. It's not as good as actual AD integration on an XP/2k box. You can use it for authentication (most of the time. there's issues with mandatory password changes), but AD does much more than that.
Its definitely a step in the right direction though.
Not going to dispure your #1, I'd love a docking station for Apple's portable line (yes, BookEndz makes something they call a docking station, but those are rubbish).
#2 is a no issue, you can get USB serial adapters for $10. Modems (when necessary), can be handled via USB adaptor. I'm scratching my head on why you'd need to worry about needing a Parallel connection though.
3) I'm in the 4 hour range on my laptop with moderate energy savings set up (dimm the screen a bit, no cd in the drive).
4) My office hasn't bought a laptop with a floppy drive in it in something like 5 years. There's a few USB one around if someone needs it, in the IT office near the old Zip drives.
It might have something to do with when you have an issue with backdating stocks, it means your company's doing better than you expect. Its a sign to buy, not sell.
We're talking the retail folks here, not the dev staff or engineers. Somehow I doubt the secretaries and janitors at Microsoft are allowed to download beta builds of vista.
Even worse, the Apple genius are a function of the sales are. Do you want marketing to know about all the things that may or may not be in your shipping product?
Run your network gear/servers in a heated environment. Temp controlled server room, spot cooler/heater feeding a rack, use the tools you like, but you're not going to find much that works properly (at the very least, doesnt void warrenty) in en environment that cold.
You realize every time you say that to somebody with a clearance, they want to strange you, right? They've been hearing it from everyone they've pretty much ever met as soon as they find out they're getting a one. It gets old around time number 5, which if memory serves, was 4 months before I even got the clearance.
Similar recommendation, but I use a JVC deck.

I work for the government. I AM big brother.

I'm not really seeing a problem with that.
It has nothing to do with non-conformity, it has to do with submitting sub-par work when a higher level of quality is required.

This sounds right; it should be illegal unless/untill the police get a warrant.
AFP is pretty separate from AppleTalk nowadays (v3). The only thing Appletalk is used for is a backup advertisement protocol.
That said, nothing wrong with using CIFS at all.
Or else they expect the developers to already know about the new features through their ADC contracts (and NDC disclosures).

pre-publication review. Its part of most security clearances for a long, long time after you're not longer in the position you became cleared for.
Or you're buying the cheap/wrong ones. Some you can hear with good ears, some you can't.
Nobody write documentation because they love doing it.

Ripping something to an AAC doesn't put any sort of DRM in.

It expired years ago. I just wanted to tell you that everyone with clearance hates that. Really.

There's plenty of KVM switches that handle both USB devices as well as audio.
Studio Apartment : $300
You obviously don't like anywhere even close to DC.
Because they're updating the entire quicktime library structure, not just the app. Think new Direct X to go along with new WMP.
Cant help you out there, but Codeweavers has a product coming out later this month.
