OK so I went and searched for "office security cameras" and that pretty much just turned up companies selling cameras. I then tried "office security cameras HOT XXX ACTION" and that DID yield me some results... But no passwords on sticky notes:( Rule 34 should kick in eventually, through, right?
Seriously though, I'm guessing most office security cameras are too low-res and they give a wide-area view so as to make it pretty damn difficult to be able to get someone's PW that way.
Scanning through the comments I don't see a single one along those lines, but I do see a ton of them about the kid having superpowers now. Now that's Slashdot:) Or maybe everyone was just too busy jerkin' it to be bothered to make comments.
A pink or reddish tone is a lot better at illuminating streets than a faux white spectrum that has high peaks in the blue region.
Better, or just what people are more used to?
And while the lumens/watt metric may not currently be as high for LEDs as other types of lighting (although it is constantly improving), LEDs provide plenty of other benefits such as energy efficiency, environmental impact, and lifetime.
That's not exactly an earth-shattering statement there. It's well known by now that MS considers Linux to be a legitimate threat. Next thing you'll tell us that they're worried about Google, too.
Training from Microsoft is the best way to learn to use word processors and spreadsheets. They did invent them after all.
GP made a reasonable point that "people are better off learning those skills in Windows, since at that level, that is what they will be using in their new job." You are just being a passive-aggressive douche.
Very nicely done. Not only was your reply clever, but it's the first post in a long, long time around here to be funny while employing the word "tubes.":)
Yep, e-cigarettes. I don't understand the name. Can your cigarette surf the web? Can you print out nicotine using your inkjet printer? I didn't think so.
What you're looking for is the iCigarette -- it lets you do all the stuff you mentioned. Just like anyone else, really, but never has lung cancer looked so trendy.
Yeah I found the notion of "balance" coming from kdawson to be pretty hilarious too. Sure, every news/opinion outlet is gonna have its biases, but Slashdot always has to have that one editor who's on just a bit more of a crusade than the others.
Asian women look like little girls--with the flat nose bridge.
You say that like it's a bad thing.

I betcha John McCain has the balls to tell him, though.
Must... Resist... Urge... For so many... Jokes...
Well, you can but firearms are generally more effective and easier to employ ;)
Hey nothing psycho about that response...
Actually, the least I could do is nothing.
Slashdot: News for nerds, stuff that -- as it turns out -- doesn't really matter.
Not to go all purist on your ass, but you mean Shao Khan, not Shang Tsung.
On Slashdot? Say it ain't so! This is where I come for fair & balanced news for nerds.
Around here I think soap should be first in that list... I mean, sheesh, people.
Close... People who make things happen, people who let things happen, and people who say "What the hell just happened?"

VxWorks is a real-time OS made and sold by Wind River. So while yes they do *support* VxWorks, it goes a bit beyond that.
Virtual mod points to you for your reference to The State. Let's all get stoked to literally go apeshit on Bastille Day this year!
No no no... Dogs and cats, living together... MASS HYSTERIA!

I'm a massive SotC fan (I've got a tattoo)
You know, sometimes I can understand why all the "cool kids" want to beat the shit out of us dorks.

I realize that Slashdot has long since gone downhill, but can we at least wait until there's a real story before going front page? Jesus.
Assumning this isn't just an April Fools joke, might I suggest for the submitter membership in the No Cussing Club?
Dude, this is Slashdot, and it's April Fools Day, not Opposite Day.
At least while they're there they can watch some Thunderball!
