all of the testing that they have done is to clear up any questions. If you happen to have an odd level of anything then that will consistently be shown. If you happen to have someone else's blood in your veins, then that will be even more obvious.
Except for the recent US team at the Tour De France that volunteered for extra testing and established personal baselines for all their hormone levels. They signed a pact with each other that they were all willing to lose on their own merits, but to complete cleanly. This actually led to bigger sponsorships as they were clear of the cloud of suspicion. Ya, cycling is hard, but just because you lose doesnt mean that the guy who bet you cheated.
your wiki entry sums it up perfectly with the minimum rate required bit. These companies are most likely not getting loans, but spending their own money. If the rate of return is too low, then the money will go to other endeavors. The profit margin is already very slim, so reducing this further would likely lead to less oil for us all.
I would like to understand more on the accounting of the merged companies "record profits" . The phrase is so politicized and the sum is so vast that there is not a lot of clear communication on that. My assumption was that each companies previous profits were combined with a small savings for redundancy (HR and marketing, etc). Of course one would have been bigger than the other... so if the record is 1.1 B$ then one company had made 800M and another 400M... this puts them still huge, but no so offensive as alot of other industries can approach this figures.
The fact that so many companies are combined is what gets my interest... exxonMobil , BPAmoco , conocoPhillips.
i jumped in step before this. I wrote to my rep before this went to the floor in the house. He did respond to me , but to inform me that he had voted for the act instead of against it. He did address my concerns of the requirements of policing for funding , but in his mind ( and the minds of other constituents) the benefits of the money being made available and the continued chance at receiving higher education trumped the negatives that I had brought up.
At least I tried...
Now to get our damn government to address one issue at a time instead of sliding all kinds of unrelated shit into laws.
speculators are speculating that the price of oil will stay high for a long time, and in fact keep increasing as demand continues to increase. This makes buying a safe bet even as the price is going up. As Bush started really pushing for changes, the dynamic changed, and people no longer agree that the price is a definite for continuing upwards.
This is all speculation also.
There are other components, such as the value of the dollar that can also have quick impact, but i wasnt watching the market that day.
The cost of the equipment needed for speculative drilling and refining is absolutely enormous. These expenses are paid out and a large return over a very long time is needed to make it worthwhile to have even tried.
One thing I never see mentioned is the fact that these companies all have two names combined... Exxon and Mobil used to be their own separate entities. In order to create these records, they had to combine efforts of some already giant companies. Would it be ok if the profit was half the size, but going to two different bank accounts?
my 900 has a 4 gig SSD and a 16 gig flash. They call this a 20G machine. The only big problem I see from this is that dual booting off of a single 20G ssd would be much simpler. This is obviously done to keep the price down. I havent checked to see if it is soldered in yet.
and in the event that anyone wants to upgrade without paying Apple the extra price, feel free to purchase the exact same hardware at cheaper rates and ask me to install it for you. I will be glad to, and will likely charge you just as much as Apple for the service. If you think that is too high of a price, go somewhere else, or figure it out yourself.
The panels can be placed out of the direct path of sunlight to the plants, and even if I had to go directly on top there are actually shades covering quite a bit of the structure in summer. There are trees blocking the best path of the sun in winter, so the panels need to be a few feet away.
i have a greenhouse that needs new power run to it. An aerial line would just be flat ugly, an trenching requires removing a ton of concrete and several possible code violations. Solar for me is a near perfect fix, and the extra costs of the panels are a wash with the labor that could be involved. Then there is a plus that I can run other things from the greenhouse, and depending on efficiency, I may move some battery chargers to that system for more "free" energy.
There are some applications where solar is just best.
until the rest of the unions bury the airlines with solidarity.
also, a friend of mine is a pilot and I have sat between the pilots in a business jet once. the view isnt worth paying extra for, it is scary as hell. It would be worse if you had to trust that the machine was going to lightly touch down on its own at those speeds. The view in the air is nice, the landing would make many people pee.
Too funny, kudos!
Proof of intelligent design?
The FSM knew the pesky humans would hit space bumpin and thumpin, and kept sound from moving through a vacuum.
Bass and techno in space?
What a perfect way to get intelligent life to come destroy us all.
I wonder how you say get off my lawn in alien ?
the baseline covers those too ...

geez, did ya fill the doll with concrete?
what about "learn more fastly"?
I understand quick. I have no clue how to use a blowtorch "gently".

that is fine , but are you willing to force colleges to become the police?

Why did you guys need numbers? All you had to do was ask.
How many Library of congresses are in a "metric shit ton"?

well done. very, very evil

Nope.

a less publicized requirement is internal parts rubber/ticklers
stop the engines and fill it with helium!
The engineering hurdle is trying to find a place to keep the helium until you need it to float the plane.
