RPM isnt the only factor. Remember that this 500GB drive has much higher data density on the platters. This means that it runs over more data in 1 revolution then a 100 GB drive.
You'd think that the bullet point "Yes, I know. I wrote that line in the docs. It's still really irritating" in the presentation might have clued the (grand)parent in that Bowen was on the Apache team...
Like it or not, the legitimate telemarketers are trying to run a business
True, but nothing in the law says their buisnesses get to succede. If the public supports laws that makes your buisness fail, then the public is getting what they want. I, for one, am happy their job is so hard.
We seem to see alot of people with failed or failing buisness models crying to the courts and the lawmakers that it "Just isn't fair that I can't make money at this anymore".
Better yet, just make up the most obvious lie you can. What is your phone number? I dont have a phone. Would you like a free newspaper? No, I cannot read. What is your zipcode? I am homeless.
The best part is the look on the other person's face.
Also I like the new capcha, actual words. We should give extra credit to those that can use that word in their post. (though I can't see how "grenade" fits into this post)
I agree with you on CSS and server-side. Unfortunatly one browser dosent properly support CSS and breaks most sites. And it is the browser with 80% of the market.
He is probably a sumbag just as you say. However he may be a little less of a scumbag if one reads the below quote from this post:
No, he is still a scumbag. The quote just proves that even though Northrop produces some of the most powerful military hardware in the world, they are a bunch of pussies.
I noticed FunWebProducts showing up when I was using a reporting tool on our webserver logs at work. A quick Google told me that its a peice of spyware that seems to be included in alot of things. What I found unsettling is that about 40% of all IE users had it.
If there aren't drivers for my OS, I won't buy their hardware.
Well duh, I am glad you are against buying hardware you cannot use. Actually I am also glad you are not willing to change OS on a whim because there is some fancy peice of hardware you want to run.
OS support is a feature of a product. If they dont want a segment of a market then they don't release drivers for it. If they are unwilling to put effort into an OS, then they can leave it up to the community to provide it by releasing the specs. But they don't have to if they feel they can live without the market share.
Opening specs is a buisness decision. I personally think its a good idea, but if they dont want a certian percentage of the market, it is up to them.
Lets add to that, actual support for http 1.1 like gzip compression, and support for http keepalives.
The fact that IE headers claim to support it and do not is extremly frustrating. And the "fixes" suggested by MS are to disable those advanced features.
Oh I forgot, from MS's standpoint there are no other browsers out there.

My favoite quote from TF Lawyer "At this point, the exercise is not about extracting fees from people."
No, not at up to A$5000, it couldnt possibly be about the money.
But you are missing out on great sandwiches.
How is trance going to get you into space?
I like this visualisation of the size of this massive thing.

You thought he would actually read it?
Droz: Sandscrit. You're majoring in a 5,000-year-old dead language.
Guy: Yeah.
Droz: Latin, best I can do. Next!
Next Guy: Phys. Ed.
Droz: Phys. Ed. Okay, you're out of my room. Seriously. Get out.

+1 Interesting? They guy just compared a hydrogen economy to the black death. WTF?
How can it be modded redundant?
The mod thought it said "retarded" or "rediculus".

But are they metric tons or American tons?
Who cares? It is a TON of TNT. That is a lot of force.
I prefer to measure things in Metric Assloads.

Not to mention the scores:

20% Interesting
20% Informative
Guess thats Slashdot math.
At first I thought it said Adrilankha.

A friend told me once: "Of course I had a boy, my father had a boy, and his father had a boy, and so on..."
Same for 8.0/win
Just post the screenshot twice.
Yes I have one from 98 or 99 that still works today on the original battery. And its been through the wash several times with no effect.
