Sure, as long as you had control of it. I am allowed to censor what I see (and I should be the only one who is allowed). In fact I do this every day by refusing to watch/read news that does not intrest me.

I have to concur, Pureto Rico and Settlers of Catan are probally the best two games my group of friends have been playing recently.

I enjoy both becuase although the rules are rather simple, the interatcions to actually win are quite complex. And they are both very balanced, so there are many strageties that can win.

I would say that Puerto Rico is the more balanced of the two; however Settlers relies on some social engineering skills as there is alot of player to player trading nessesary to win.

Another major feature of these two games (and many others) is they are not your standard military conquest game, so they can appeal to a wider audience. (Even people who generally dont like stragety games can get into Puerto Rico, though Catan has a slightly higher learning curve)

Well, I can see how indexing blogs can be a problem, as there is alot of disinformation out there. Though google's more humorous indexing problem is in their news. They have a habit of putting journals with an extreme slant in the top rankings on news articles.

Im not sure what the solution is (or if there needs to be one) but there can be problems. I prefer sites that have full disclosure of their bias. (Off hand I dont think any exist, however)

  11. Metropolitan on Kyoto Protocol Comes Into Force · · Score: 1

Yes, but on the average, many people that live in high-population density areas are not living in ghetto slums. The really packed in ones bring the average up for a region. For instance, I qualify as living in a metropolitan area as does likley everyone in Allegheny county, by their definition. I can see downtown Pittsburgh from my house (at least the tops of the big buildings) and I can see a 20 acre forest as well. As you can guess I don't feel too crowded.

The key here is perception, most people in the US live in an area that seems pretty decent, pollution wise, regardless of the reality. There are plenty of forests here, but Pittsburgh still has the (well deserved) reputation of the Steel City. Sure I never see smog, but I dont think the water is terribly clean either.

Actually, I dont see how you can be an Open Source Email service. Certianlly you run a very professional app on all Open Source technology, which is commendable. But to be a truly Open Source service, the webapp that your site runs would also need to be Open Source.

I'm not suggesting it should be, as there would be no real way of making money off the endeavor aside from junking it up with adds as all the free services do. In fact I am considering a service such as yours, as the pay services of hotmail and others do not sound applealing
