I have no idea who is serious and who is a Poe in this thread.
But it accurately demonstrates everything that was wrong with this election cycle.
Maybe the Anti-Trump Republicans and the Pro-Hillary Democrats can realize this and fix their parties. But I highly doubt it. Instead the next election will be more polarizing and negative than the last.
Between work and home and carrying a phone, I spend 95% of my waking hours within arms reach of a computer that can send email.
If I was as rich as these guys I would never send another email in my life. My communication would all be pgp-signet-ring couriers. 3 at a time with different messages to keep my enemies confused if one gets captured and the message encrypted.
However this may be some kind of technomedieval delusion.
I have one of those wireless capable cameras. Nearly worthless feature.
First, you have to connect your laptop/phone to the camera's wireless AP, not the other way around. Goodbye internet while transferring files, and having to fuck around with the wireless settings. Want to transfer files to desktop? Nope.
Second, on the cameras I have experience with (Olympus and Sony), you have to use the manufacturers app to transfer files. Want to simply access the files as a disk? Nope. Want to transfer RAW files? Nope.
The only thing the wireless feature is useful is as a remote shutter trigger and viewing the LCD screen when the phone is on a tripod.
Companies and governments will not give one thought to information security until there is direct legal and monetary pressure, usually after a major hack or outage.
Telling people that security is poor will not make them act. It has been shown time and time again. And from the government side, reporting a security flaw usually gets the reporter investigated and harassed.
Even monetary penalties are not sufficient. Companies will just consider it "the cost of doing business" and pay off fines as necessary, it is cheaper than implementing good security from day one.
We have reached the point of "hacking is inevitable, why bother protecting ourselves?" as corporate policy.
The problem with Google's "Everything is Beta" mindset is that they can pull the plug on anything whenever they want.
I am pretty happy with Fi right now, but I know its just a trial-balloon. Once the hype ends, if it isnt a market-dominating force, they will pull the plug on it.
Of course. Then they can fire you or fail to hire you for no reason at all and say "aha, he failed test x". Even though everyone knows test x has nothing to do with someone being a good employee.
This is why we have and need laws against this sort of bullshit.
Amazing. Here is to 50 more years.
I always include this note on my test emails: "Only reply if you do not receive this."
Probably because the CTO knew that it is his head that should roll since the email system that allowed such fuckery happened on his watch.
Got to find a low level scapegoat.
And only a small division with a thousand or so employees.
There had to be threats of discipline from upper management to get it to stop.
Uhh, yeah, that is exactly the point. For the country to have complete control of all web traffic within its borders.

This sounds like the "should cable companies pay over-air tv channels, even though they transmit the commercials too" debate all over again.
CBC publishes an RSS feed, then complains when someone uses it?
Just remove the feed.
Oh, what, now nobody is reading your site? Too bad.
A 6" gun is not half the size of a 12" gun.
No, exactly the opposite. The last thing politicians want is for the record to stand for itself.
"If you don't like the government abuse of free speech, just shut up."
Awesome advice there, jackass.
4. Oh, a console gamer. That explains a lot.
Surprised he did not claim to have "fucked yer mum".

Step 2) The tablets are reported to freeze/crash/etc. TV commenters call them "Microsoft Surface" to get back at Microsoft.
I thought the quote meant the devices had weak security.
Humor works best when there is truth behind it.
That is true and funny.
The only thing AT&T stands for is fucking over their customers.
So, 12% better than a coin flip.
Great, really, just great.
It is predicting climate, not weather.

Other way around. "Hey, you have normal DNA, there is no reason why you should not be successful. No welfare for you!"
