  6. Instead AI would be designed to serve whatever the creators of it desire.

Now, look at who has the resources to create "society controlling" AI. Big businesses, Government? If we are not willingly giving control of our lives to those entities, why would we do so to an AI created by one?

A Microsoft CEO wants to control society and expects people to accept it? Let's ask another famous Ai what he thinks about that, Lt. Commander Data. Yeah, I thought so.

Well, in the United States, Republicans define elite as "everyone that is not a Republican". Of course they also define "does no work, pays no taxes, lives on welfare" as that same 50% of the population, so maybe they are not the people to listen to.

  14. Whats the point of "secure" messaging in Whatsapp and Allo if the messages are not actually secure?

  15. I am stuck with the cable overlords due to the fact that the NHL doesn't actually want fans to watch their games. There is no legal way to stream hockey games, and no way to illegal stream them either, for that matter.

In general there just are not that many shows i have to watch. I would like to cut the cord and save some money, but considering the NHL team I watch played in the last game of the season, and the fake hockey olympics coming this fall (the World Cup bullshit that I will probably end up watching), hockey is nearly a year-round sport.

I spend more time on Youtube than I ever do with TV or netflix. Different content, of course, but enough to keep me entertained.

  16. Are the seasons short because there are no filler episodes? If so this is great, one of the things holding me back is I don't really have the spare time to watch 50 hours of TV.

I agree. People buying non-voting shares and are suddenly unhappy about how Zuck runs the company are suckers.

But my original argument is that Zuck controls the company. No amount of non-voting shares will change that.

Non voting shares have no control of anything. If one person has more than 50% of the votes, they have more than 50% of control.

Of course, this means people with non-voting shares or minority stakes had better be on board with whatever the person in charge wants to do.
