Sure, you can extract $1 million from the market now, but if everyone does that the prices will fall to zero, the liquidity is pathetic compared to the $15 billion capitalization. And the only reason people don't run to crash the market is because they hope they will be able to earn even more in the future - a.k.a "The Greater Fool Game".
China. In October, bitcoin got a lot of exposure in the mainstream Chinese press. BTC China rocketed past Mt. Gox to become the biggest exchange, and prices have gone up almost 1000% since.
I actually dropped out of college in 1999 because I was offered a job as a developer. Salaries were *ridiculously* overinflated. A 21 year old who doesn't know shit about anything should not have been making $45k/year in a medium sized city.
"If they decide to use their own drones outside the boundaries of international law against people they brand “terrorists,” the United States will hardly be in a position to condemn them or counsel restraint."
Every drone strike that the US has ever executed was approved by the government of the country involved. There have been no violations of international law.
As long as Russia or China follows the same policy, the US would have no objection.
. I mean, it's considered acceptable for the US (by the US politicians) to do that in Pakistan
It's considered acceptable by the Pakistani government. The only US military action in Pakistan that wasn't approved by the Pakistani military was the raid against Bin Laden.
Pakistani politicians like to condemn the US after an operation goes badly, but they are given access to the same intelligence that we have, and if they green light the mission.
"John's work on id Tech 5 and the technology for the current development work at id is complete, and his departure will not affect any current projects"
Everyone, including the OP, mentions Solyndra as this big failure of the solar industry, but nobody discusses why it failed. Their business model was based on selling non-silicon based panels at a time when the price of silicon panels was skyrocketing. Then, as you mention, the Chinese government hands billions of dollars to their silicon based solar panel manufacturers, and their prices subsequently plummeted.
If the US and the EU decide to leave their renewable energy sector to the whims of the free market, while allowing China to subsidizes the hell out of it- we might as well just hand the entire industry over to them.
That's an issue of scale. The complaint that "if everyone cashes out the price will go to 0" still applies to the stock market.

How is that different from the stock market?
the USD will soon be worth less than the paper it's printed on
Ron Paul has been saying that for 25 years...and he's been wrong for 25 years and counting.
Maybe you should stop taking economics lessons from someone whose predictions are always wrong.
The average viewer would probably notice little difference on a 4K TV
Have you seen a 4K screen in person? They're clearly sharper than 1080.
Lots of companies were showing off 4K screens at CES, and they look good. Sharp was the only company with an 8K screen, and it was jaw dropping.
Ummm...no.
Cable only comes in at 720p.
What kind of horrible cable provider do you have?
Oh. I thought you meant $50 per bitcoin.
Typically, people who make completely incorrect predictions are considered the fools.
Where is all of this money coming from?

You're joking, right?
Tons of people said that when the price spiked from $4 to $20.
It seems like every two weeks my employer transfers money into my bank account. But maybe you're right and I'm wrong.
Gmail has been pretty successful.
Then again, I don't have kids.
I'm shocked. I was sure you were a parenting expert with 6 kids, up until that last sentence.
Essentially it is a violation of international law to kill anybody without either declaring war first or holding a trial with due process.
Someone should notify Al Qaeda's legal department.

From the post-
"John's work on id Tech 5 and the technology for the current development work at id is complete, and his departure will not affect any current projects"
That's the idea of tariffs. Unfortunately, China will retaliate with tariffs on US goods regardless of the justification.
Did you read the entire paragraph? Carmack's part of Doom 4 is done.
Besides Solyndra, the renewable energy companies that got DOE backed loans have done very well.

Nobody would pay money to astroturf this ghost town.
