    ok, you could be German as well, but I doubt it. If you were, you'd take into account the capabilities of the car as well as the driver.

    I am not sure that recording a movie with a camcorder is infringement. I certainly have a right to record what goes on around me. The act of taking that recording, buring it to DVD, and selling it on the street corner or putting it up at SuprNova is certainly infringement.

    Are you serious? How is driving above the speed limit (to the point where you frequently get ticketed) not harming others? At the very least you are at increase risk for an accident and you accident will be worse because of the speed.

    How fast does someone have to be going before you think they are risking harm to others?

    I know the poster that you are responding to. He uses his SUV to go places that he couldn't in a van. He tows a camping trailer and a now a boat with it. He also feels that his last one is was pretty safe after someone (not him) feel asleep at the wheel and it when off the road and rolled three times. No injuries to any members of the family. Any large van would have rolled in the same situation, so you can't blame the rolling on it being an SUV rather than a van.

    I am sure that in a perfect world he would have a car perfectly suited to each occasion, but as it is he has a small efficient car for commuting and errands and an SUV for camping trips and holding the whole family.

    And yes, his SUV does carry as many people as a small van, I've been it it. It doesn't do it as well, and you could certainly buy a large (ie equally bad mileage) van, but it wouldn't do what he needs it to do.

    Also he lives in an area where parking a vehicle that size isn't a problem like it is in some areas.

    Ebert's review of F9/11 is an interesting example of this. He states his biases at the outset so that people can understand where he is coming from. I think it was the honest and correct thing to do. It probably caused some hate mail, but prevented much more than it caused.

    That still doesn't answer the question of why switch from a format known to work to another without testing it. This is a production system. Someone wasn't thinking and they want eFax to take all the blame rather than own up to their share of it.

    If you happen to been in Geneva during the right year (the party only happens every few years) they have an international fireworks competition over the lake. Teams come from all over the world to compete. They claim it is the largest display in the world. This is directly after the Rave Parade, so it makes for a very loud night.

    Thanks for deciding that I am not an idiot. My employeer will be glad to hear that. Sorry if I wasn't clear. My guess is that most people didn't read section 4.5.3 prior to responding.

    Most twins aren't close enough to fool current scanners, but some are. Of course this depends on the scanner and the settings. I have been able to fool some scanners by enrolling with one of my fingers and verifying with another of my fingers.

    In fact, I took a system to my parents house once and my mom was able to verify as me.

    Your explaination about the cloned finger would make sense, but it still doesn't explain the twin situation. Is he assuming that someone is going to find your twin and cut his finger off?

    You are right that they don't get it. Anything of substance that is produced in N. Korea is produced by the government. It is easy to see how they might assume, or pretend to assume, that any game coming out here has the approval of the government.

    The North Korean leadership are a bunch of inbred wackos that live in their own reality in which all Americans are aware of them and are focusing their efforts on destroying them. In reality most Americans couldn't find North Korea on a map and never give the country a moment's thought.

    It is well know that twins tend to have fingerprints that are similar to one another. The fact that consider your twin's prints to be very different doesn't change this. Similarly your own fingerprints tend to be similiar to each other, having more features in common that they would with a random person's.

    In any case, you have failed to provide any information about why a test for liveness would be be important, unless your twin is dead.

    What does liveness detection have to do with the problem of a twin/clone having similar fingerprints? Unless your twin/clone is dead I can't see how it would make a difference.

    This kid can already hold 7 lb weights from his arms, something that adults have a hard time doing.

    Adults would have an easier time of this if their arms were the length of a 4 year old's. I don't mean to belittle his strength, but this is an odd way to measure it since the length of the arm plays as much of a role as the weight involved. I would be more interested in what he can bench press compared to a normal 4 year old.

    This problem is slightly easier than the Grand Challenge, but it is still pretty hard.

    You could set up a differential GPS system to have an accurate measure of where the mower is and where it has been. Add a wi-fi network to send data back to a server that would be doing the actual decision making. You could add a manual training mode to teach it where the obstacles and edges are. This would be especially helpful if the lawn is at all complex, which most lawns are.

    Finally, make sure that the mower is a mulcher, unless you have another robot that can empty the bag.

    Um, no. 1 kg of ice at 0 deg. C has a larger volume than 1 kg of water at 4 deg. C, but 1 kg of liquid water at 0 deg. C will occupy less volume than 1 kg of water at 4 deg. C. You see, water doesn't have to be solid at 0 deg. C. If you had said -1 deg. C you would have been right.

    What are you talking about? Is anybody complaining about the conduct of the judges in the SCO suit? Not that I am aware of. Please fill me in if you have other information.

    As for the spyware suit, it was "Only in Utah" where the legislature passed an anti-spyware bill. Does Texas (for example) have an anti-spyware law? Besides, this isn't a defeat of the law, just an injuction to keep things the way they are until a trial has been conducted. Not a big deal.

    There are plenty of wacky things in Utah, but what you have pointed to doesn't qualify.

    Additionally there has to be a state law that mandates that you give you name to the officer, so this can vary from state to state.

    I've got quite a few PS2 games as well (and to be fair, naturally I have a Gamecube and Xbox).

    Sounds like you are going to buy the Xbox2 no matter what. How long after launch did you buy each of your consoles? See?
