Ah, yes, the Computron 5000. You just gave me an idea. I could create some sort of light emitting display that accepts data from a computer via a cable. Computer users could write software to display text or images using this display. Sometimes a fresh new look at retro gear from a different angle can result in some pretty cool new applications of the same tech!

I think that free will means that people can make their own decisions with some internal source of true non-deterministic randomness.
If pure determinism was all that governed our universe, and if no true randomness (which could lead to free will, perhaps?) existed, then a new universe with identical initial conditions would result in everything happening the same way, including this post.
If that was the case, then I have no doubt that a simulation of every particle in someone's body could eventually be run with a powerful enough computer. The implications of this are numerous.
3) 2d/3d modelling. When all 3 keyboard modifiers combos are used, you either gotta start using keys other than the default modifiers, or extra mouse buttons, or possibly a modal interface.
But I'm sure there will be a mac user who comes up with some attack against 3-button mouse users or some rationalization not to use a 3 button mouse.
Example: "I do actual work on the computer, not game playing, not spanking off. I don't need a free hand to hold a soda, or phone. The modifier keys are more than adequate. Any software that requires more than (2^3)=eight click modifier key combos is broken. Users don't need that kind of functionality. Are you so inept that you can't press a modifier key? So what if it's quicker to use another mouse button when your finger is already on it? You saved, what, 0.2 seconds? Slooow down, cowboy!"
But that's fine for them to stick with a one-button mouse. I guess it all boils down to a matter of preference. People tend to be stubborn, and I for one am never going back to anything less than 3 buttons. =)
Well ed doesn't feel that way, and neither does vi. At least the ones I run. I withdraw my comment as far as perl and sed go, however. Either way, ED IS THE TRUE PATH TO NIRVANA!!
I am also curious about Loom. I played a game called Loom once.

5. Is it possible to profit from Fortran 2000?
Me too, I love work! I can stare at it all day.
Zug zug!

Blah... I've heard better sounding music when printing out assignments and graphics on a dot matrix.
This is completely off-topic, but check out the Onion article on the RIAA:

Let's perfect fusion power, then energy will be Free(tm). Then we control the climate ourselves! Fuck nature!

Can anyone tell me what their definition of redundant is?

I was sort of quoting towelie.

I have no idea what's going on right now...

...Bosendorfers with Gold/Platinum key tops.
Two of them. (One with inverted key colors.)
A castle made out of stainless steel, or hard-anodized alunimum. With a fully equipped lab/machining shop. And a cutting laser.
A unimog, and a porsche.
The rest will be for goofing off and for making projects.
What's he gonna do? Read slashdot for the next ~3 years, of course.
A trailing slash is not necessary.
