Here's the problem: the flag was planted on the side of the moon that faces the Earth, NOT the "light side of the moon". Your textbook is misleading. One side of the moon being lit by the sun is not a consequence of complex gravitational effects between the Earth and the Moon. Read this, especially the last two paragraphs.
> 1. Does anyone know a good book to start with for learning electronics with hands on projects? I had a class in college but it seems like eons ago,
If you don't mind reading online literature, check out epanorama's links for the basics. It's no book, but it's a place to get started. Google around for beginner's electronic projects. Check out discovercircuits also.

Was Einstein really a christian? Google gives mixed results.
I just heard some sad news on wireless - Abraham Lincoln was found dead in a Washington theatre this morning. There weren't any more details yet. I'm sure we'll all miss him, even if you weren't a fan of his work there's no denying his contribution to popular culture. Truly an American icon.
It is kind of funny, isn't it? Of course, the real reason I use control in the place of capslock is because that's where I prefer it, not so I can just get rid of capslock.
I don't know about the state of mods (and friends) these days, but at least earlier on midi had much better polyphony and finer time control compared to mods. And lots of music hardware speaks midi.

As long as the gods in nethack are pleased, I'm fine with it.

None taken.
Correction: Board of these games.

Er, possibly... go wrong. Heh, that's the first thing that's ever gone wrong.

A shame, really, because no one will read it, this being Slashdot and all.

Here's how I made capslock an extra control in Windows 2000/XP.
Go to this path in the registry editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Keyboard Layout
In that registry path, add a new binary value, like so:
Name: Scancode Map
Type: REG_BINARY
Data:
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
02 00 00 00 1D 00 3A 00
00 00 00 00
This required a reboot to take effect (for me, anyway).

You could, perhaps... automate the recalibration process! Nah, such ideas are in the realm of fantasy. ;)
I told you a million times not to use hyperbole to get your point across!
I would have guessed he meant one of the platonic solids: teapotahedron
But does it run Windows CE?
Being creative isn't in the requirements.
Well, whatever you do, don't piss off any shoggoths.
Lies indeed.
FPGA in this context means Field Programmable Gate Array.
Yep. Get them started on reading Slashdot their first day.
There's something blinking red in the palm of your hand...
