    Thanks.

Has anyone ever got http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ to work on a PS3 ? The page comes up ok on my PS3, but the video window just shows a static picture, with no video or audio... I assume the PS3 can't do the flash video required ???

Or, is there any alternate coverage on broadcast TV in the UK ?

Evolution isn't a religion, or based on one, so that's fine. Creation is based on a religion, and I agree that it shouldn't be taught as true. Now, about not teaching evolution as an exact science...... It is as exact a science as there is. It's an exact a science as the one that says there's a hunk of rock called the "moon" orbiting the earth. As exact as the theory of gravity. It's a fact that we evolved. You can argue about some of the exact details that are unknown, but if you aren't aware that we share a recent common ancestor with chimps and bonobos, and ancestors with 99-100% of all other life on earth, then you are an idiot. If you think there's a problem with teaching this in school as a fact, you're an idiot I don't want anywhere near my kids.

As I recall, there's a voltage difference between the left and right side of the car due to the car cutting through magnetic field lines. I think that might be called "Hysteris".

Of course, there's hysteresis, which is a non-linear relationship between two things, such that the value of y depends not only on the value of x, but how the value of x changed previously.

There's Force, Energy and Power. They're different.

The force of the car of 1000kg is 1000*9.8 is about 10,000N (F=ma)

The Energy the car makes moving 2cm is 10,000*0.02 = 200Nm, not Watts.

The Power is measured in Watts, and depends on how long it took for the car to impart the energy. (P=E/t)

So, to get their 10kW quoted, it means it must have taken the car 200/10000 = 0.02s.

So, it takes 20ms to depress the bump....
