    What you're missing is that Google gave him no clue/hint/guide/comment/help on why he was delisted.

    I'm not for censoring any information, and I am not trying to defend google. But there may be one very good reason why this may be happenning this way.

    Google is at war with search engine spammers. When google de-lists somebody for spamming their search engine, if they gave a specific reason why then all the spammers would do is tweak their spam farm and be up and running in a couple of hours.

    If they told this guy what was wrong, they would have to spend a huge amount of time and resources telling why everyone is wrong, all the while helping out the spammers.

    Google is a good search engine, but if you notice that if you go beyond a couple of pages out of search results, many times you will find nothing but useless "link farms." Unfortunately, spam is no longer limited to email inboxes anymore, it's everywhere.

    Now it truly is a Happy Thanksgiving. 8500 pages.... They seem to be hoping that it takes a year or two to read through all of that.

    My thoughts exactly. I can't help but wonder if they are purposefully tring to obfuscate the data to prevent its use. Either that or there are about 4000 APIs we don't know about.

    I think the problem with that number is not that it is down 2 days per year, but seven times a day the computer system would be down for a full minute with hundreds of people trying to access time sensitive data. I would think even once a day (99.93% uptime) would quickly become an annoyance.

    Another thing, this blogger also forgets that everyone is going to need a new graphics card for Vista, which will increase power consumption for each computer by three watts. Not a lot until you take into account the large number of computers 100,000,000. This, by using the articles numbers, means 2.7 billion pounds of CO2. Plus whatever it takes to manufacture the card and deliver it.

    You heard it here first. Save the enviroment. Don't run Vista.
