Shrugs I know the DirectTivo with work without calling home it can pull its data from the DirectTV data. Lost my phone line for a while and went 45 days without calling, other than it harrassing me one a day about not being able to make calls, it worked fine. I bet tivo could offer a patch that will let you update from digital cable directory streams too.
I don't know many you should see the nutty data researchers in our office. They will use dozens of gigabytes for the same half GB set of data because they want to save every version of that data that ever existed and keep it readily available in non-compressed form.
This has SATA II, its backwards compatible, but twice as fast as existing SATA. So yes, if you want to get all the speed out of it, you will need to upgrade your motherboard. So Sorry.
I guess the only solution is to regulate them like telcos should and require them to open up thier lines. This means, sure they can release anti-spyware program, but they have to make it so you can easily remove it and install another companies software. And no contracts forcing OEMS to use their software. All that jazz. I support open competition and no regulations, but when government rules are used to create a monopoly (ie a telco or microsoft riding on government copywrite protections) government has to correct the problems they make.
Hey, my dad grabbed an inverter and a car battery to watch tv with during the last all day power outage here. A slight buzzing noise was the only anoyance. Oddly enough the battery lasted many hours, I was shocked.
You do realize the American Red Cross, and the Internation Red Cross are two totally different organizations that are connected only by name. Most of what you hear about on the news is the International Red Cross. Anyone know which of these he is giving too. Note, the American Red Cross is also helping out so giving to them isn't as silly as it seems.
Mentioning VoIP does anyone know of any cheap VoIP service that can be used for the once a day calls my Tivo makes, obviously needs adapter, but very few minutes will be used.
As it is stated the every player is going to have unique keys they must be doing some type of cert auth don't see how you can do it otherwise. How do use cert auth to turn around and decrypt data on the disk in beyond me, unless the dvd player is a trusted system and can be trusted to play untill it comes across a disk that contains a reject this cert message.
Because DVD is actually fairly low quality as things go, non HDTV cable broadcast are infact higher quality than DVDs by a small margin. HDTV broadcast are by definition hugly higher quality. Whats always confused me is that one channel that has the "DVD-on-TV" specials, why the hell would I want you to lower the quality of your broadcast to DVD quality?? I don't get it.
Actually a force of arms will help. Believe it or not, if the benevolent countries did not swoop in with aid and arms small not so benevolent groups would and try to take advantage of the sitution. These people need food, water, shelter and protection. The rebuilding they can take care of themselves, otherwise we would be putting them out a job if we did it all for them.
Ok, given an infinate universe, which it practically is are you seriously concerned about its abuse. I mean seriously I understand concern with accidently destroying outselves, but accidently destroying astroid 24u2d is like destroying a grain a sand. I just don't see us polluting the entire universe, and if we did, whats the problem, its all matter anyways, throw it into some sun, its gone.
How bout a new system, and hour spent being locked down in a little personal crate where you can do no harm, and shipped overnight express with no delays as all paperwork is prehandled.
Of course with the small amount of flights, this would be more similar to a chartered flight than a typical airline, I'd be willing to bet security check time would be less as well.
That really wasn't useful as it needs to be compiled, anyways, wanted to let people know that you can get Xvid codec from Divx website. http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid .html
efficient? I don't know about that something tells me that thousands of individual car motors is hugly inefficient itself. Shrugs.
It would be an interesting math problem to find out which is more efficient, I'm guessing the rolling road, though the logistics of construction and repair would be a nightmare, but we need more jobs anyways:)
Sorry I know it was stated that the parent was going to rent the movie for their kid, didn't know such actions hadn't occured yet, thanks for the clarification.
Yes, but the US courts have consitantly held up these movies right to exist. Now personally I think if the judges viewed "Saw" they might think differently, hehe. Either way US law doesn't allow government banning of such material (though local community banning is allowed).
Done, the water level goes down.

You're a jerk dent.
Either way do you have a better name for it than base 10? I guess you could call it base X

Actually the "official" 3.9.0 beta version has a rate limiter.
Though I've personally found its download rate swamps my office network even.

Nope, parent said DVD not HD-DVD.
Ok, so everybody is going to be expected to have a fancy new HDTV set that supports the new encyption scheme. That won't sell.
before you answer, use the usb port, its a DirectTivo.. so option is not available.
