Well we have already been seeing some huge innovations. Chip innovations stumbled for a few years for two reasons. Intel had a virtual monopoly, chips were reaching their theoretical speed limit and Intel didn't seem to see anyway to improve them except ramping up the Ghz and putting a bigger heatsink on it.
This is called a Twin Planet. And no it would nolonger orbit the earth the earth, the "moon" would orbit eachother at a common point. Either way, I see no reason that once we have this designation of moon vs planet why we should be so beholden of "our" moon that we can't accept it nolonger being a moon. We shouldn't change the definition just to fit some popular idea.
Mentioning that, can anyone explain to me whats the difference between the large gaseus planets like jupiter and small stars. Is there really any difference in their compesition or is it simply a matter of size?
I think my question was more on the lines of communication via entanglement. Either way this was mid 90s so its possible that at the time it seemed useless.
I once asked a FSU physics researcher (who used to hangout at a coffee house and regularly beat my ass in chess) about quantum entangement. He told me essentially it was a parlor trick and to forget about it./Don't know the point of this story, really...
It was made (and I assume sold in) 94-95. Probably for Win 3.1 The real question is, how valid is this data now? Its probably still very valid but the types of people using computers have grown by large numbers sence then. Of course the % of people who would pay for such a simple program has probably reduced as well.
Its good to see we agree. -smirk- Only half kidding, personally I'm very happy that my parents made me work for most of the things I had as a child, it made me appreciate them more. But yes they still bought me fun stuff sometimes and I buy my children fun stuff as wlel
Well duh, us homosapians all got along just fine without cell phones for 40 thousand years or so. But its a nice convinence. I think the parents who buy a cellphone for their kids to be able to talk to their friends are morons, let the kid pay for it themselves. On the other hand the parents get their kids cellphones that can only call them and can track them on GPS while a bit clingy can be understood in some circumstances. I don't personally need to keep a leach on my kid at all times but I do like them to be able to call me at anytime in emergencies/Have a 10 and 3 year old, the 10 year old would have a cellphone if I could afford one.
Though it does have a roundish shape which is obviously caused by gravity. Whereas many astroids are not remotly round because their gravity is not enough to have any effect in their shape. 2003 EL61 could definatly fit into the dwarf planet discription. As they have said there could be upwards of 50 planets.
but have now seen the trailer and will quite likely buy it provided it gets good reviews
This isn't directly related as much as you think to Jack, Rockstar just started marketing the game heavily this week. So you would have probably seen the trailer by now if you visited any gaming or video sites this week.
And this would be within Nintendos control how exactly? I don't know much about Nintendos Network Stack, but assuming they do allow third party networks, I don't see whats wrong with Madden charging for it.
Exactly, I do pay for cosmeo.com (and educational site owned by Discovery Channel) but I'm just a sucker for my kids./And no I have no idea why I'm posting this other than I was about to agree with you, than I realized I was paying for an online subscription service myself. Oh well.
I think the "no hidden fees" bit is pretty self expanitory. SURE there may be a subscription based MMORG released, and noone expects that to be free, but its clear that all of what you get with an XBOX Live premium service will be free.
It seems pretty clear that they are saying that the online service will be completly free. Sure the online service will allow you to buy stuff i.e non free games. But they clearly arn't going to be charging for you to connect. They have also floated many rumors that there will be many free games as well, and that classic NES games may be as cheap as $1. They even hinted at itunes model in one article I read.
Its a fluke, some moron made a ton of comments then spread the word saying, hey look how many comments there are on this video. Which in turn received more comments. Noone cares about the video its simply an issue of the fact that it keeps getting posted by people like you. So stop it... And get off my lawn!
But I'm thinking of starting up a blog called, "Get off my lawn!".
But seriously if you think that what I have to say is interesting you really need to go outside./Anybody want to subscribe to my newsletter? "Get off my lawn Digest."
And there really is no reason to think Nintendo isn't going to include these features. Remember they havn't even announced all featues. Its still to early to speculate. Or maybe I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they don't f this up, because I really want my Wii to be perfect./Accidental Wii joke there. Sorry.
Exactly, I really hope we see a lot of inexpensive expansion for the wiimote. Hopfully nintendo doesn't get greedy and require expensive license deals.. Oh well time till only tell. Greatest expansion idea I've seen yet, powerglove 2.0, all you need is a glove with a slot ontop to fit the wiimote, I could make one at home.
Sorry your right, I read it after I posted. But honestly, if Call of Duty isn't online I'll be embarassed, as for the others they really arn't the types of games that fit well with online multiplayer. Do expect to see a lot of online games being produced by the third parties though.
The only flaw is that there's a LOT of racing games. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing but it will be interesting in the least if the controller is good for that I'm hopeful for a good GT style sim.
Well they've already shown how the wiimote can be held sideways and used to steer, and with the rumble and sound capabilities it sure as heck beats out using most console controls as far as racing goes. Of course a real wheel is always better, it'll be interesting to see if anyone makes a wheel that this plugs into the center of. Just need some sorta force feedback. Oh well.
Exactly, I think they'd be better off obtaining permission to highly modify the UnReal engine. No reason to completly scrap usable code you've already licensed.

Speaking of odd keys how many people still use the scroll lock? I have never figured out what it's for on modern keyboards.
As it always wikipedia is here to save you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scroll_Lock
It essentially states what you said, it has no purpose on a modern computer aside from a few special applications, all which treat it differently.

The religious fundamentalist may not have popped up in the last six years, but the politicians pandering to them certainly has.
BWAHAHHA, you must be very very young to make a statement like that. Or blind or both.

Probably never, but then again most game houses rarly build their own engine (atleast successfully).
I wonder if any teams have ever licensed multiple engines and used pieces from each. Would it be legal, would it be practical..?

However, there is very little first-party online support from Nintendo.
Hu? In the past maybe, I'm pretty sure Nintendo has been pushing online heavily with its newest DS games and has talked extensivly about Wii Online.
