Also, while Apple *could* switch to Intel...it'd make it much harder for them to control the user's experience in hardware and software...which is probably Apple's biggest selling point -- the relative uniformity of the user experience.

Bandwidth, like roads, tends to be shared. And the more you have, the more cars you can get on the road. That's why this is significant -- not just the capability to move large chunks of data fast, but also moving lots more of those smaller chunks.

And, even my laptop has Gigabit Ethernet built-in and can saturate at least 1/3rd of a Gbit. Filling a 100Mbit connection isn't that hard these days, although finding a fast content source to do so is still a challenge ;-)

I would hazzard a guess that there are many English (as in the country) people who speak perfectly good English that you would not be able to understand too. One could argue that they also (probably) speak "better" English than your good self.

I would suggest that the reason you have trouble understanding Indian's speaking English is NOT because they are unintelligible, but because you haven't been exposed to people speaking English with accents. Which does indeed tend to make your comments a little xenophobic. And the Boston comment just goes to prove this even more.
