I do not condone his beliefs on those of different sexual orientations, but I did wish to point out that that sort of list had already been done with similar results.
But, yes, he is a bit stupid and ignorant.
October 17, 2002--Linux today announced its "X for Teachers" program that gives a free copy of the Linux kernel version 2.4.19 "Stable" to every K-12 teacher in the U.S. Linux combines a stable and robust POSIX-based foundation with KDE/Gnome's legendary ease-of-use to create the world's most advanced operating system for teaching, learning and administration. The free copy of Linux is accompanied by free copies of Linux's Digital Hub applications-Xine for digital video viewing, the GIMP for editing digital photos and XMMS for building a digital audio library.
"Getting a Red Hat or Mandrake install CD for free makes it easy for teachers to move to Linux, so they can spend more time using technology in the classroom and less time making it all work," said Tux the Penguin, Linux's vice president of Education. "Linux has delivered innovative products to teachers and schools for over 9 years, and 2.4.19 stable is our best ever."
I'm not giving up the AOL discs I have recieved in the mail. I have found them instead, to be very usefully in helping me balance the feng shui in my dorm room.
There is a reason it doesn't look exactly like a mac case.
People here seem to have forgotten that apple (along with every other major computer manufactor) patents their products. If this company made a case that looked exactly like the mac case, they'd probably get their asses sued off by apple inc.
While it is true that education may not make you smarter (but probably will), I have trouble seeing how this connects to the mass genocide of millions of innocent people.
By the way, Einstein had a Ph.D. from the University of Zurich. But, whatever.
The graph on that linked page seems very objective. Cg quality is no where near to close the quality of modern ray traced images and movies. When Cg can produce an image like this , then maybe things will change.
I just took the exam a few weeks ago. None of the subject matter is really that hard if you know your stuff. If you take the AB level, it requires you to know concepts such as on linked lists and binary trees, etc. The A level doesn't cover any of this really at all, and is more on how well you know basic programming basics. However, the bigger question is can you write new code and decipher other people's code in the given time and w/o a debugger?
I know some people who really knew their stuff and didn't even finish the writing part. I suppose what it tries to do, is teach you confidence in your ability to code without the debugger or a test execute. Anyways, I can't really speak about the grading since I haven't gotten it back yet.
Maybe because it costs money? If you watch the video, they are actually being sent from the Balkans to Virgnia securely, and then back to Europe so it can be watched by NATO people there via civilian satellite. They probably figure that if they were doing anything really important they could simply cut the feed to Europe, and that its not worth the money or time required to set up hardware encryption in BOTH europe and U.S., because they believe it to be a temporary sititution until the Afgan incursion blows over.

It's worthy to note that while there are many cases like this, there are none that involve someone from Palestine siding with the Israeli government.
Ok, I agreed with you on most things until I got to this line here. First, around 20% of the population of Israel is Arab. The vast majority of these Arabs live in peace within its borders. (I'll admit that they are not treated completed as equals, but close enough). And there are many Arabs who *gasp* serve in the IDF (Israeli Defense Force). Isreal is where their home, family, and jobs are.
As for Arabs living in West Bank and "Palestine" territories, the reason for them not speaking out against actions of Hamas and siding with the Israeli government is due to supression. Maybe you missed this little article from yesterday about Palestinian gunmen killing 11 other Palestinians for supposedly giving information to Israel. And these people are only suspected too, they were never given any trial even if speaking was a crime. The "Palestinian" territories do not exactly foster free speech, free press, and freedom of ideas. Maybe this explains why you've never heard of any.
Sure, I agree that Isreal has done many things wrong in the past, but the Middle-East conflict, along with many of the cases you mentioned before, are WAY more complicated then something that can be summed up in one sentence and are entirely one side's fault.
Ummm... how about, never?
Think again. What a lot of people in the United States don't know is that the Espionage Act of 1918 limited free speech, and made illegal for people to speak out against the United States' involvement in WWI. Dozens of people were arrested and put in jail under this act for merely speaking, including Eugene V. Debs who later ran for president from jail. Luckily the act was later repealed (but not for a few years after the war actually ended).
Simply to say that because we live in the United States our freedom of speech is ensured is an ignorant comment. We must contantly fight and support groups like the ACLU and EFF to make sure that the Second Patriots Act isn't a another Espionage Act.
1. Deploy troops
2. Troops get nervous
3. Computer senses nervous troops

This has already been done here.
The two lists seem to be very similar...
