If I want to run software that modifies how web pages are displayed on my computer, then that's my right. If I set it so that my browser displays no pictures, cute cat pictures, or even pictures of someone else's product, that's my business. L.L. Bean has no right to dictate that their web pages must be viewed "as is", and there's no contract to force me to do so.
That said, this is Gator/Claria malware, almost no one installs it willingly and knowingly, and certainly no one agreed to get other ads when viewing the L.L. Bean page.
Have it set so that no matter what site they request on port 80, they get served the goatse guy. Then have a sniper pick them off as they scream "Argh! My eyes!"

Trekkies (and other geeks) frequently communicate by referencing events in historical episodes. A quote, a snatch of dialog or an episode name transfers much larger meaning in a shared context. There is some debate if they've developed beyond the stone/bronze age however.
They should have motorized it and turned it into a ride. You could have kids sitting in the carts as they spin, rise, and come back down. Oh and all the mothers screaming when they see that you've put their kids on some shopping cart piece-de-resistance.

Lemmings would be pretty good as a song and dance movie.
Don't forget to include the plague-spreading hamster. (An actual Sim add-on.)
It sounds like the game (which I haven't seen) is a pretty good match for the movie (which I also haven't seen). :)
In Zork, all goths are eaten by grues because they refuse to carry any lights.
