I use a site which has copyrighted music but (a) it's not MP3s, it's OGGs; (b) it's out-of-region (Japanese) music. You have only to look at my site (it has no sound files btw) to see what music I am talking about. (Warning, it's Brinkster.)
VII = Heir to the Empire
VIII = Dark Force Rising
IX = The Last Command
and the Jedi Academy hadn't been formed at that time. I think Leia may have been in training... (She was pregnant and had the twins Jaina and Jacen at that time, IIRC)
Ah, teh deheadratting... I've done a bit of that myself.;)
Red Hat is a good distro for starters, but if you want the real Linux experience, avoid it like the plague. (Debian and SourceMage are better for this.)
1987, Oswego, NY. $4.50 admission; $2.50 for seniors, children and matinee times. Two screens of which one had stadium seating. (Later, five of which two.)
The only thing new is that the price has doubled, and IMHO, it's a fucking rip-off. $4.50 I can handle, but it's like $8.50 to go to the fucking Regal Cinemas in Niagara Falls to watch some movie and it's just not something I can do as often as I could back then.
Well, I burn VCD fansubs that I make myself. (As opposed to leeching someone else's video or subtitles) Sure, the resolution's not that hot (352x240), and it's MPEG-1 encoding. About 70 minutes of video will fit on a CD-R. That's 10 MB/minute. And my DVD player groks them no problem (prolly can't say the same for SVCDs).
Now if only I could encode directly from xvid...as tmpgenc and bbmpeg both choke on it...I have to transcode it to Indeo first:( which takes longer.
No, here's what the Bible really says about eye-for-eye.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I say unto you, Resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever will compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh, and from him that would borrow of thee, turn not away. Matthew 5.38-42 (Tomson)
Even if it were practically free to set this stuff up, the power companies would be all over it to kill it off, because it would make them almost redundant. Same way no one wants to find a cure for cancer except for idealists and relatives of victims, no one wants solar/wind/other alternative forms of energy to succeed because it means less $$$ in their pocket. And now may the FUD wars begin...
Xenix was Microsoft's (!) V7 UNIX derivative. Ran on x86 and 68000 platforms.

You should see how those of us on my channel use DCC then... We truly *share* files... mp3z, abandonwarez, and even GPL software.
It's a nice little community, er, circle of friends.

Well, as far as I'm concerned:
VII = Heir to the Empire
VIII = Dark Force Rising
IX = The Last Command
and the Jedi Academy hadn't been formed at that time. I think Leia may have been in training... (She was pregnant and had the twins Jaina and Jacen at that time, IIRC)

P2P Music Sharing Remains Popular Despite RIAA?
Hm...I think the more accurate expression is "P2P Music Sharing Remains Popular To Spite RIAA".

It's not that we can't, because we can; it's that we WON'T. Too many old fogies refuse to give up their foot/pound/inch system.
;) Certainly you know about Chuko Nezu (Iron Mouse), but what about Akane Karasuma (Lead Crow) ? :D
BTW re your sig

If you're going to nitpick about the C64's CPU, the NES actually ran a 2A03, not a 6502. ;) It had on-chip sound capabilities and lacked BCD mode.

The SuperCPU upgrades the C64's 6510 CPU to a 14 MHz 65816 overclocked to 20 MHz. I think you can also up the RAM by a few megs as well.

I'm an Apple guy, not Commodore.
I'll care if someone can make one of these for my Apple //e.

It's a DoS attack on your systems and should be treated as such (especially as you warned them already and they ignored you).
Block them off and take them to court.

Windows 98 users, write that line into c:\windows\hosts (it can be otherwise empty).

Same difference.

Don't forget Macrovision on DVD players...I had to hax0r my Linux kernel to work around Macrovision when vidcapping from my DVD player.
