    Planes usually have two altimeters. A radio altimeter that tells how far above the ground the plane is and a barometric altimieter which measuers pressure and tells how far above sea level (roughly) they are.

    Calories aren't bogus just over simplified. Thermodynamics still hold true even in your body. Energy in = Energy Stored + energy out. Calories are the measure of energy.

          Changing the types of food you eat changes the way your body decides to pass/store/or burn energy. That's what all the ketonic diets are about.

          Also even after you stopped exercising and following your diet, all that time you spent exercising increased your muscle mass and therefore your base metabolism (muscle burns more calories than fat).

          But it is still true that a pound of fat gained is 3500 calories consumed and not burned or passed.

          Using the GPL is evil, you forever give up your right to make money off of any code. It's like giving up the keys to your house, actually I think there is a clause that allows anyone to make copies of the keys to your house to use to come and go as they please.

    It's amazing some of the things people beleive.

    Wow, who uses lines of code as a metric. It's an aweful metric to use. I have seen many bad coders produce a lot of code. Lines of code as a metric encourages cut and paste reuse instead of abstraction of common ideas and functions.

    My answer to anyone who asks if now is a good time to buy x in computer hardware. My answer is always can you wait 6 months? IF you can wait then do if not then buy now. Things will always be better/cheaper in 6 months so if you can wait you get a better deal.

    The problem I see with the Myth Beyond type solutions is decoding the premium cable chanels. Sure I could have my cable tuner change chanels then myth record chanel 3 but that doesn't allow for watching one and recording another.

    You don't get it, he is so good he hacked into computers not connected to the network. You see he displayed hypnotic patterns on those connected to the network to make his now bot employees access information on the computers not connected to the network.

    I think Deer Park is an awful name. Mostly because is reminds me of a town/filling station half way between Jefferson City, Mo, and Columbia Mo. That filling station had a 'deliverance' feel to it for sure.

    Though they can't steal your fingerprint they can steal your fingerprint metric. It all becomes bits at some point and if they have those bits they can buypass having your finger.

    IF an agent of a copyright holder (BSA) makes the work avaliable for public download is it illegal to download it? I mean by knowingly making it avaliable on a public network they are giving public permission to copy it.

    No. 1 buyer of rice as well as its largest brewer, says it won't buy rice from Missouri if genetically modified, drug-making crops are allowed to be grown in the state.

    It isn't that they don't want any gm rice to be grown in Missouri. They are concerned about contamination from rice designed to grow drugs. If drugs got into their beer then they would have some serious problems.
