The point is, this assumption that Arab countries would go invading Israel, for no reason, because their economy is dying is blatantly racist, and that "armpit of the world" crap makes it clear (they're not even the worst-off region, if that's what you're going by).

It depends on who you ask. Old episode lists follow the Fox order of the original four seasons spread out over five. Newer lists show episodes in the original order with the DVDs episodes as season five.
Family Guy hasn't been as good as it once was, but I don't think that had much to do with the cancellation. If you watch all the episodes one after another, the evolution from original Family Guy to modern Family Guy is very slow and steady.
It seems opinions vary widely. To me, the first one was, while good, filled with fanservice and a little bit of trying too hard, the second was a return to form and the third was excellent.
