With open source everyone got access to the code and bugs are usually fixed quite soon after they were noticed, but when a goverment like China notices a bug or backdoor, how can we known that they are telling Microsoft about it and Microsoft fixes it ?
They could just fix it in their version and share the knowledge about the bug with their secret service. And while I don't think there will a "cyberwar" between China and the USA in the future, industry espionage is a common practice even between friendly states.

As long as you're sure that packets from your NATed pcs aren't fragmented, the fix is quite easy. You just need to rewrite the ipid of your outgoing packets with an internal counter, as you already need to rewrite ip and port of all outgoing packets, this isn't a problem. The no-fragmentation shouldn't also be a problem. You could also fix that problem by rewriting only the ipids of unfragmented packets, that should be at least 95% of all outgoing packets in common NAT. This should be enough to confuse that analysis technique.

They are quite common in Europe, in some countries in Europe more than 50% of all DVD players are codefree. On the other hand the movie industry is fighting against it. Codefree brandname players are often much more expensive than the regioncoded ones, they are also harder to get than their regioncoded counterparts.

The movie industry is also using minor protection laws to fight against imported DVDs. Imported DVDs don't got the local ratings marks. Many european countries got heavy restrictions on selling unrated videos and DVD. For example in UK selling DVDs not rated by the BBFC isn't permitted and in Germany mail-order of DVDs not rated by the FSK (and stuff rated 18) isn't allowed.

  12. Solution for J2ME speed problems ? on Developing for the Motorola T720 · · Score: 2

I think J2ME is a good idea because platform independency is very important for cell phones. Performance is also quite important for games. All current J2ME phones seem to use a interpreter based VM, because a Just-in-Time compiler is too complex for a phone. What about network-side just-in-time compilation ? You could get nice speed and platform independency. The WAP gateway already compiles the ASCII based WML into a smaller and easier to render binary format. Why shouldn't it also compile J2ME midlets ? With caching that shouldn't require too much performance.

A gameboy advanced is way too big to carry around all the day. It just doesn't make sense to carry a GBA around for 7 minutes gaming in the train or something similar. They are all from the same genre and many of them aren't much better than average in my opionion. If you like the genre, they are entertaining, but if not, you don't miss much if you don't watch all of them but only 2-3 of them.
Beserk, Noir, Scyred and Hellsing are all quite regular action anime. Not bad, but I don't know if they are slightly obscure. I think they will maybe run on Cartoon Network or ADV's Anime cable anime channel sometimes.

In your pattern of obscurity, points b) and c) are a bit illogical. Nowadays only anime shown on tv is sometimes released as dub-only dvd. Everything else is released as Sub/Dub DVD or sometimes Sub-Only DVD. So your point b) is nearly identical with your point a). I think b) should be:

Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu

Hale's life is changed forever when his mother adopts this strange girl into the family. A lazy teacher, a perverted doctor, a beer drinking mom, Pokute, The Mysterious Guu, and Poor little Hale stuck in the middle of all this Is a recipie for comedy.
    Azumanga Daioh
Well, here another description from fansubbers, but no one can be told what "Azumanga Daioh" is, you have to see it for yourself.
Everyday life of highschool students? Experience Highschool with hilariously over-the-top characters and tempermental English teacher Yukari and her colleague, P.E. teacher Kurosawa.
Azumanga Daioh is a very "japanese" show, so I'm not sure if you will enjoy it if you know almost nothing about Japan and haven't watched a lot of anime.
Guu is very insane and just a lot of fun.

Azumanga and Guu aren't commericially available outside of Japan yet, but you can download them as fansubs. If you want to download them, just use google to find the homepages of the fansubbers.
