A: Someone will break the watermark. B: If they know its watermarked, then someone will get it from another source. C: Rip it off a CD in your format of choice.
Nonetheless, this looks very cool. the Screenshots are impressive but I hope that you can adjust the viewing size of the area you look at.. that was my only problem with WC and SC. I'll be downloading ths beta very soon.
Umm.. its a bit much for what is considered FREE email. I can go buy a domain for $8 and host it on SEVAA for a year for that price (+/- $5), but then its MY mail and no Ads anyways, and have LOTS of options on top of that.. web space, ftp, etc..
Theres alot of customer service sofware that provide KNowlege bases. And your IT/HR dept can use it for bug/call tracking. You can store your documentation here. Its searchable and (based on what you get) easy to maintain.
Virtumundo said this became clear when it started to get large numbers of complaints about spamming from message recipients and Internet service providers.
You mean to tell me that masss emailing the same thing to many people in this way wasn't spaming? They never checked with the providers if these were legit addresses, so they, themselves are spamming. Sue Virtumundo. They sent the email; they spammed; you sue.
If there is no protest to this, then understand that this could set a precedent that can/will be used as cross-refrence to a pandora's box of governmental regulation.
What if someone uses hotmail to email pornorgraphic images? Does that mean they will block that, too? I'm sorry.. that doesn't make me feel comfortable.
OK, so yes, kiddie porn is very bad, but I'm sorry, this is not acceptable. Should the state "encourage" ISPs to block these sites? Maybe. But MAKE them block the sites? Thats a consitiutional violation of my rights.
If a site is out there, then I should have access to it. Let the ISPs, themselves, block these sites (nor not), and let me deal with my ISP if i have an issue with it. That way i have a CHOICE to use my ISP or go to another.
If the government wants to get involved.. go after the site, NOT my ISP!
"Connecting the county's sparse, widespread populace with fiber would have cost $180 million. By comparison, the radio buildout will cost the county between $2.9 million and $5 million, most of which the county plans to raise through state grants, Blank said. With that investment, Allconet will be able to offer 85% of the county's population, 95% of its businesses and 100% of its business parks broadband access."
It appears that IF they can raise the money in grants, then it won't cost John Q. Taxpayer much, if at all. Well, I doubt it. Besides, unless they can offer 100% county-wide coverage, and i'm in a non covered area, then I would want a tax break.
Otherwise, I'll move just over the countyline and setup a repeater and live in another county.:)
Although it has 400lbs of pressure (on the coil), it may not have too much pressure on the outside, but really, how safe is this item for Kids?
This, to me, seems more like an tool that would be marketed to adults (i know I want one). Sooner or later this marketing target to kids will have a sour turn, IMO.
Still, I'm going to order one. This is one cool toy.
We get them constantly- some intentional, some not. It's really a pain.
No, its just people refreshing trying to make first post.

good try though.
Because I don't want them to spam me or intrude my privacy without my consent.
Interestingly, I noticed one story (about the retiring carrier pigeons) that was a true story posted today
yeah.. it was a true post.. but thats about all the truth to it.
Then where are all the RIAA or ICANN prank posts?
rename the site to SlashDove.
In recent news..
Microsoft will be promoting themselves by purchasing the poster line by Despair, Inc from think geek.
"And Donkeys Might Fly Out Of My Butt"
so, how difficult is it to get a firewire port on a windows machine?
Yes.. this was already discussed before. in this /. article
ICANN won't do anything if they are not sure if they'll be around. Just send the forms back to verisign... empty.. they get charged for the postage.

You'll never see a wireless device in a Freddie Prinze Jr flick, yet there will be a bandwith overload at the Episode II premire.
Hey you!! Dim your LCD Brightness.. I'm trying to watch a movie here!
Might I add...
Give them an Inch and they'll take a mile.
