    i use Tend Micro's free PC scan. Its fee, easy, and it cleared the infected ones on my roomates PC.. A good-full scan, and no $$ goes into their PR dept. Me like.

    He's right. Not Today's movie theaters, but within 5 years you'll expect a rise in movie-going prices because the studios filming in digital will cause ticket prices to go up. As technology rises, you'll se a price drop in the current filming and projection costs of sed movies.

    You have to note this: Spider-Man wa shown on more screens in their 3-day opening, than in Star Wars EP2 4-day opening. I think it was on 1500 more screens (if I remember correctly).

    Given that fact and good math skill, EP2 did outdo Spider-Man. Either way.. I've seen them both twice anyways.. they both rock.

    its about time someone did something. not to sound "moral" but really, this is kinda important. the majority of us /.er's are in our 20-30's and were not exposed to this sort of thing. What we had were toned-down versions of reality on TV, video games, etc.. Only Movies were like this, and those were well restriced by age as well. Make the restrictions, and let the parents decide if they want their kids getting "DEAD KILLERZ II". Its their children. let them decide what is good or bad for them.

    Are we all looking at the negativity of this post? Are the majority of us /.'ers seeing the glass half empty on this situation? I'm glad your stating your opinion, but its sad to think that the hope for this empolyment situation is dissippearing. All the points are valid but i'd like to see some people's support for this topic.

    Don't rule out the power of optimisim.

    Hoe are these 'advertisers' (i'll refer to as spam) be able to verify that their target has "opted-in" to recieve this spam? If someone is under the age of 18, then they needs permission to revice or opt-in for solicited information.

    Let me go a step further...
    If i were a parent, i would be concerned with this kind of practices being used to advertise porn to my kids. Yes, it'll happen, and it's happening now. Without verification of age, I should rightfully be able to sue or requite the 'advertising' company to verify a childs age. Moreover, if I didn't request to be contacted, then i should not be bothered.

    We are the informed few. 99.9% of people that frequent this site are very aware of IRC and the possible dangers therein. I use IRC daily. I have been for years and in this time, i have noticed the amount of 'newbs' that show up on a daily basis. These people are NOT informed of the openess of IRC and should be warned.

    CNN, I applaud you.

    Also, if they don't know what theyre doing, then they should go to AOL chat...
